Maybe you should click away if you are not interested?
That animation of the conveyer belt is a legit digital fidget spinner. Mind blown!

But that's half this forum?
I know, but at least those folks don't make money off the information that they “steal” and most of the time, they still credit the original owners/publishers for their contributions.

The gun is made to shoot. It is you who decide to shoot the people.
Same with CFW and piracy.
I... I can't
I just can't

So you're saying that TX used pre-existing code that magically supported loading XCI's, and then on top of that adapt it for card 2 support?
No, that's not what anyone is saying. They stole code for something as simple as a homebrew launcher (which you don't need to pay for using SX OS) rather than make it from scratch. Why? Well, that's just speculation but what isn't speculation is the legality of such an action.

Lmao 11 pages of shitposting for sure, not even gonna read it l, they took open source stuff they have stole nothing.

Ok first of all, the code is open source, they may use it.
Secondly, their provided sxos for free but if you want the backup loader You've got to pay for it.

How ever they should still release the source code for sxos while keeping the backup loader closed source.

wait i thought hekate was just a fusee gelee clone that boots an early version of atmosphere, and the bootloader is the hekate part
awkward now i need to read some
be right back, repairing sysmodules
n**** wtf, what a dumb conclusion to make.
and you told others "if you could read, you'd probably know that"
Yes, sweetie. Damn shame.

it's okay because he called me sweetie neheeheehee
Seriously though, you're right, I did fuck up there. @Draxzelex has made a detailed post explaining the actual situation further up the thread, which covers everything. If you're reading this, try to not be me and be careful to only get mad when you're damn certain you're right.

That's not how the GPLv2 works.... just cause it's open source doesn't mean I can do whatever I want with the code.

Yes you can, granted you obey what is stated in the license, and including the license. If you do that, you can do whatever the hell you want with the code.

Obviously TX didn't do that, but is anyone really surprised by it?
It's just a storm in a tiny bottle, nothing is going to come out of this, I don't see why people are even making a fuss about it.

uh didnt everyone piggy back off of Gateway's Emunand for years? People didnt seem to have an issue there.
They're also praying TX to be cracked, no issue here too, actually who will do it will be considered an hero.
As long as these guys get profit from it it's good to steal.
