Hi friends,my friend gave me a wii u with 5.5.1 and it has the haxchi exploit,he has not used for more than a year or update anything my questions is what can I do to get the latest CFW/HOMBREW any help would help as I am new to the Wii u scene.thanks

Well first you need a SD card. Second Haxchi is the CFW, third, you can install this homebrew on your SD card and load it with the homebrew loader to download more homebrew! :P

Are you confused yet? Don't be. If you know anything about homebrew on wii, all the homebrew is on the SD card and loaded from the system. Simple steps I guess.

  1. Insert a SD card into your pc and format it to Fat32. (SD cards larger than 32GB need to use Gui Format and select allocation unit size 32XXX)
  2. After you done formatting, use h2wtest to verify the sd card is properly functional.
  3. When both is complete, insert the SD card into the Wii U. (Make sure the tab on the side don't get moved to lock position or you can't use it)
  4. Turn on wii u, and start Haxchi. After you return to the menu, open web browser and go to www.wiiubru.com/go/ and then click homebrew app store
  5. From here you can browse various homebrew and download it to the sd card. (Don't forget to install the homebrew launcher)
  6. After you install some homebrew, return to menu and load the homebrew launcher and start homebrew.
Hope it helps. :ninja:

I wouldn't mess with a hacked system that has a different NNID attached. Especially if you consider using CBHC. If the previous user deactivates their NNiD while you are trying to use it for hacks you could be in real trouble and headed to brick land
