sys and emu nands share the same unique Switch code, the one Nintendo bans to not allow to Switch to connect to the servers
Thats not his question. He's asking if one NAND remains completely online and doesn't do any hacks and the other NAND does hacks but stays offline is safe or not. Obviously, if you do any form of hack and connect online, you can get banned but what if that NAND never connects online and instead the other NAND does everything legitimately? This can work as long as Nintendo doesn't detect you are running EmuNAND.

I understand that both NANDS are the same. But activity done on one of them should be separate from the other NAND. Especially while one was kept offline.

Thats not good. Piracy and ban people okay I get it. But only for save editing and backupping... snap thats not fair...
That doesn't sound right at all there's gotta be more to what he was doing than just save editing. Maybe he did it while online using HB is a good guess. But I save edit the fck out of Xenoblade 2 and FE Warriors offline and i'm still golden

SciresM:

Btw, I had assumed it went without saying -- if you're playing with unofficial builds of work in progress layeredfs stuff that is broken (and crashes frequently, consequentially), you shouldn't be anywhere near online and shouldn't even have online enabled. I use custom error codes for debugging, and if a report with one of those goes up to N's server from your console, you will almost certainly get banned from online. If you're concerned about that, don't use stuff until it's done.

I used layeredfs to play kirby, snipperclips plus and then i bought a sx os license. I used it but accidentally went online for a second. I played BOTW and kirby. Then i went to ofw and tried to open eshop. When i tried to open it, an error popped up that the console was restricted. Than i headed back to splatoon 2 and i played for 30 minutes. Right now, only my eshop is affected and i can download both system and game updates. EDIT: I booted my switch in ofw to update games aswell.

Does anyone know if a banned Switch can still play games in local with other Switches? Also does Switch have a direct connection feature to connect with other Switches to play wirelessly local or does it need to be connected on a router?

In the future , is there a possibility that something like wiimfi would come to switch and allow banned users by changing server?

@TheLastOfUs still didn't reply but I'll assume that he went online on SX mode, which means that still no one reported a ban from only using SX in offline mode (with WiFi settings deleted) and online on clean OFW

Sure is... and poor devs get hit with the charge backs

there's nothing to charge back because the keys don't cost them money to generate in the first place

If the game has a crack sure
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Most these crack sites have dead links anymore or the crack don't even work
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
@The Real Jdbye What don't you get? If someone use a stolen creditcard. Then sell said key on G2A. If I the dev sold the game key, I will get the charge back cost. That's how it works, it doesn't matter if I generate 300 keys if 300 of them are bought with stolen credit cards. I never said it was on Steam, but its the dev that gets hit. There is a ton of stories out there if you google it.
