Hello all,

I have an Executer SX Pro and would like to ask a few questions so that i am 100% sure.

1/. If i charge the dongle using the usb cable how long will it require charging for? Will the lights on the dongle change colour when fully charged?

2/. If i install RCM and the dongle does not have enough power how can i load the switch back into normal mode?

Thanks in advance.

1) You don't need to charge the dongle. It's similar like an external device which you connect to your system.
2) You don't install RCM. RCM means Recovery Mode which you enter with the jig inserted and holding Vol+ and pressing the power button. I guess you talk about AutoRCM. After you launched the SX OS boot menu, you can install AutoRCM which enables you to boot into RCM without using a jig and pressing the key combination.

Thanks pLaYeR.
If i install auto RCM and then turn switch off do i then just insert dongle and turn on and it will boot automatically into cfw?

Yes, if you have AutoRCM installed, it will automatically boot in SX OS if you have the dongle plugged in. If you want to launch the SX OS boot menu, you need to press and hold Vol+ while powering on.

Another question if you activate the license of the Executer SX Pro then have an issue with the console and have it swapped over how do you get a new license?

The SX Pro license is tied to the dongle. So you can use it for multiple consoles.

Apparently not. Its tied to the console itself. Now like me if i had an exchange of console how do i activate the license as it now says license in invalid

You need to buy a new license because the license.dat file on the micro sd card contains console specific information and is tied to the old console.

Another small question: can you just exit RCM (not AutoRCM) by turning your Switch off completely? Let's say I turn my Switch on in RCM mode, play a game (through SX OS) in airplane mode and then completely turn it off after playing. Can I just normally turn it on and safely play online games? Thanks in advance.

Your console only boots in RCM automatically if you have AutoRCM installed. Sure, you can boot in OFW and play your games online, but I wouldn't recommend you to do that because we don't know if it's safe or not. It might be possible that even though you play your games in OFW still some information will be sent to Nintendo.

Hmm ok, so even with your own bought games? Thanks, I'll be even more careful then.

Performing an unauthorized modification to your system (hacking) always comes with the risk of getting banned. We don't know exactly what data will be sent to Nintendo when using the console online. Therefore, I would be careful and keep the console offline for now rather than risk a ban.

Hi, I got my SX Pro today and surprisingly I can't load any splitted roms.
Does someone have the same issue? All non splitted games work perfectly.

Running SX OS 1.1 and a fat32 microSD from Samsung

Fat32 Split XCI not working (for systems on lower firmware): games will either not show up or will freeze upon loading.
  • Solution :
  • The problems occured with dumps which have been split with older versions of XCI-Cutter (< 2.4.2).
These dumps have to be joined using an older version and then re-split using the current version.

The current version expects a slightly smaller part-size. Upon joining it will break previously split
dumps, since it won't read the full parts.
I'll add a check in the next version to detect parts with a different size.

For everyone who didn't use an older version, 2.4.2 should work without problems: https://github.com/Destiny1984/XCI-Cutter/releases
