I haven't used the editor since I've been busy enjoying the DLC, but what exactly are people doing that messes up the arts? Is it just by opening the save with the editor, or modifying something in particular?

I’m guessing it it overwrites a few things with 00s. It currently deletes Shulk’s specials for Rex, Fiora’s specials for Nia. It also clears completeion data for the challenges. Another thing I’ve noticed is that clears out any locks on blades you have set. That was before the current update but such a minor issue, it takes two seconds to reset locks.

It doesn’t matter what you do, just running the save through the app and then writing makes the changes

All I tried was editing my pouch items. I'll see if it is just opening the editor and saving, but I'll try that later.

I tried to edit the amount money and Ether Crystals I had but it doesn't save it after I press the "Write Save"

Old editor works fine for stuff, but the new editor with item editing won't even save. As soon as you press Write Save, the program closes. Opening the save again shows that no changes are saved.

I got the new editor to add items yesterday, mainly just the stuff needed for the Poppi QT Pi quests. There was no confirmation of saving, but when I re-opened the save, all the changes were there. Game loaded the save fine, but it completed all of my quests or reset them. The quest log was completely empty. I was like whatever, Ill just work on the story some more. I do the next story quest in Leftheria and go to save. It said there was not enough space left, delete some data, and appeared to save anyways. I exited the game and checked the device storage, about 32 GB free on the sd card and half the system memory left. I go back into the game and Just get New Game and Settings options. Tried to start new game and save it and same thing happened with the error and save disappearing on game start up. A backed up "clean" save also encountered the same thing. So I went into Save Data Management in the Switch settings and deleted all save data for the game and powered off the Nintendo switch. I then turned it back on and the new fresh game I started was able to save and load properly. I was then able to edit it with the older editor and added Tachyon chips, legendary cores, money , ether, and bonus xp for Nia, Rex, and Tora.

RealSpyKitty, you can use this one here. It's working fine with the new DLC installed. Core Chip id and serial numbers are on the very first post under old editor. Just make sure you have some in your inventory to overwrite. If you don't, it will corrupt the save or does nothing all if your lucky.

Ok so basically the new editor is a disaster. Seems like it doesn't work for anyone and just causes issues. The old one has zero issues it seems. I just wish it could edit item quantities, but oh well. Better that than corrupted saves.

The new editor works fine, The updates to the game broke it, I was using the new editor with no problems up until the challenge mode update was released.

Hmm..strange. I don't have any updates and it still doesn't work for me. It hasn't broken my saves like others but it won't even correctly save after an edit. No idea why.

That's a no go for me. Same one I used already. It just doesn't save. I make any changes, hit Write Save and the program stops responding and then just closes out. Changes are not saved.

Why exactly are you trying to do with it? Just give yourself max everything?

Just trying to give myself more collectibles right now. Just boot some item quantities. It's the only thing I want that the old editor doesn't have.

I appreciate the offer, but I'll just have to keep editing stuff as I obtain it ingame. Unfortunately not a feasible solution right now. I'll keep trying to work out the kinks and see if I can get it running properly.
