Hello guys, i want to buy a ESP8266 to be able to play "offline" without having to connect it to a wifi, since i'm leaving town next week.

Now i have come across this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IK9GEQG
Note that this is the CP2102 version...

BUT the one i found is ESP8266 but with CH340 version instead.

Does it matter which one i choose?

CP2102 one works.
Thx mate, so it does matter! Glad i didn't buy the CH340! :D

I´ve bought this one, works great https://www.amazon.de/AZDelivery-NodeMCU-ESP8266-ESP-12E-Development/dp/B06Y1LZLLY/
and since i updated our console today to 5.55 i use it for other projects
Thank you! :)
I guess i will buy the CP2102 version.
BTW which USB do we need to connect it to PS4? Is it USB Male to male? And should i get one with 2.0 or 3.0? :/

Micro Usb to USB 2.x - 3.x ... same as most smartphones using for charging

btw if your tv has a free usb port use this, so you don´t block the both ports on the ps4

You do know there's a way to have the exploit be cached in the browser, right? For "offline" use. And as long as you never clear the browser cache (which there's absolutely no reason to) you'll be fine, forever. You don't need to buy a ESP8266 (unless you really want to).

@DSpider yeah but it´s not intresting for all people, first you had to start it via one method Online or Offline with a Host ... best method is the ESP until better styles are archived

Thank you! Good to know that! :D
Btw let say that I connect the wifi module to either TV or the console, should I disconnect it when I have loaded the HEN payload?
I don't want it to "overheat"... I mean whenever I put my USB on PS4 to install games, the USB is very warm :/

Yup, what Trojaner wrote, it's a good method, but the cache could be cleared someday. The ESP is the "best" method If you really want to play games "offline" :)

Nice, thank you very much! :D
Naaah I'm good with only disconnecting the thingy :P
Don't need to modify it :)

Ohh one more question! When I install all those payloads in the Wifi module, can I still keep Al-Azif DNS and still connect it to the wifi module? :)
