Team-Xecuter Demos SX PRO and OS working fully on v5.1.0 Switch

Its only been a couple of days, since the exclusive pics of TX factory, and now we have a brand-new demo video from the SX team!

SX510.jpg

Welcome to one of the last Team Xecuter announcement before we let the reviewers take over!

As promised, here is a new video of our latest SX OS running games and homebrew under 5.1.0. This is pretty close to what you will have in the V1.0 of SX OS. But we are still working...

As a quick fact update, during our latest tweaking before launch, we now have 10 (instead of original 5) successive boots without the opportunity to auto recharge. Standby time remains the same (approximately 1 week) and battery drainage has been dropped from 25mA to 13mA while console is awake and dongle plugged in.
  • Q: Can I play my Switch running SX OS while being docked?
    A:
Absolutely. You just need to have it undocked when you power up your Switch to load SX OS. Once done, dock it and play for as long as you don't completely power it off again.
  • Q: I know I'm asking too much and it's early, (sorry) would it be possible to get Bluetooth audio (or even Bluetooth controller) support within the CFW.
I know a lot of people would dig that on other forums (including a clean internet browser that has YouTube unblocked) if this is possible?
    A:
If it is doable, we will try. Please read text below about such requests, you are fully entitled to request anything, we will do our best in order of user's most wanted features.
We receive hundreds of email daily with hundreds of request/suggestions. We thank you for them. We do not reply to everyone, although most people do receive a reply, but rest assure we read them all. And we take note. We have requests for emunand, Nand back up, themable SX OS, soldered version... the list goes on!

SX OS and its affiliated products (first one being SX Pro) are a work in progress. You paid not only for a device but also for support.
And we will bring it to you. Most on demand or important features will be added first, some are already being worked on as you read this, and we will take it step by step.

Thank you for the trust you placed in us, we will deliver!

Team Xecuter, Rocking the Switch in 2018!

I can't, I have to buy an adapter and those are expensive on my country, and aliexpress takes like 2 months on shipping

hope so, i'm waiting for fhat, i don't want to update and lose atmosphere deeper possibilities, but if its release results too far away i will just give up.
Ofcourse I get that when another solution gets released and the one ur waiting for not yet that it can be hard to wait for that

Full coldboot fw is apparently "nearly impossible" on anything about 1.0.0... Whatever that means..
A fully unetethered coldboot option is "nearly impossible" on anything above version 3.0.2. 1.0.0 would be the first to get it, and 2.0.0-3.0.1 might possibly get it someday. It's definitely not going to happen anytime soon though.

at the moment yeah but lower is always better and in a year time that may be entirely different

Which is why I'm not worried about FW. Higher still has access to the same core functions. :p I get the emunand thing, though. :O

When Atmosphere gets a backup loader, what benefits will Xcuter offer to consumers above Atmosphere?

^ not a durr hurr fck xcuter post, genuine question

SX OS will offer nothing over Atmosphere once a backup loader is out.

SX Pro will give you the dongle, but other than that nothing that can't be done for free and dongles can be bought much cheaper elsewhere.

Early access to said backup loader and a dongle + jig (for Pro buyers).

It's the same as other dongles and flashcarts like Gateway. Early access to said things.

Thanks for your responses. If there wasn't anything on the horizon (no pun intended) I'd probably have bought the product, but I have a jig and Atmosphere seems to be incoming fast. Hard sell.

sorry, noob here.
what is "auto rcm" and why is it cool?
Info from the site;

  • Q: How does the tool (jig) and dongle operate? Are they needed everytime you turn on the console?
    A:
If you don't want to make any (software) modifications to your Switch Console, both the Tool (jig) and dongle are needed every boot.
SX OS has an optional "AutoRCM" feature that can be installed to your Switch Console such that the jig tool is not needed anymore on boot.
  • Q: How does the AutoRCM feature work?
    A:
The AutoRCM feature makes a tiny modification to your system's on-board storage via software, and from there on you will ONLY need the dongle (and won't have to press the volume key) when booting your console.
Please note: With the AutoRCM feature installed, your Switch will only boot up with the SX Pro Dongle inserted or by any other USB-C launching method currently available. Once booted, you can always uninstall AutoRCM through SX OS.
Hope this will answer your question

Ok I keep getting conflicting answers..

My main launch switch is on 2.0.0 (instantly updated from 1.0 cause we were kinda told to).. and i’m Pretty much planning to stay there and just wait for emunand to be on latest version. It also has the microsd update done.

Now, I got a second hand Switch last night. The seller bought only used it for a couple of days and didn’t like, so he sold it. In other words, it’s practically new. To my surprise, it was on 3.0.1! .. It does not have the microsd update applied (yes, I know there is this long ass method of doing it without updating)

Now I’m not sure what to do with this second switch. Should I hang tight and wait for emunand, since there is a chance for coldboot on 3.0.1? Is it not really worth staying on 3.0.1 (opposed to 2.0.0-3.0.0)?

Some advice (or maybe pros or cons) would be appreciated

I’ve literally just bought one for the dongle. The scene will reach a point where SX OS is no longer necessary, but the dongle will remain hugely useful even for booting open source solutions.

Exactly, I have a good setup for RCM, have the network to get backup stuff working fast once something pops up, and it will be free, so I see absolutely no reason to get the SX Pro.

I think most people that get the SX license will be regretful once the backup loading floodgate is opened :/

Thanks, and wow that sounds dangerous.
is this so you dont have to insert the jig to the side and press the volume up/down etc and just use the dongle? how safe is this?

Where can I buy a dongle that auto injects the payload for cheaper?
