Very. If you accidentally break one of the pins, the Switch will no longer detect the Joy-Con when it is attached meaning it cannot be charged that way. It will be stuck as a bluetooth controller.

I bent mine correctly had it for a month and it recognizes on my Switch, is that fine or is it still dangerous?

Thanks for the info, I always turn off my system I don't like "sleep mode" in any of my devices.. except for phones. Everything I shut down when im done

If you have AutoRCM installed, it is currently impossible to use sleep mode, since Hekate is presently incompatible with sleep mode. This is a short-term problem, however, and it will be fixed with Atmosphere CFW and/or a future version of Hekate.

As long as its bent and still attached to the Joy-Con, you're fine. Other people may exert too much force bending them and they fall off. Also, leaving it bent means you're constantly pressing the hidden home button (pin 10) and will always be high. Nintendo can theoretically detect this and start banning people in the future, but that's not been observed yet.

This is the most reliable rcm jig: just buy the replacement part for the joycon rail, remove unneded pins etc, bridge the convination you like, and now you have a jig that slide as easy as a joycon itself:
