Hacking 4.0.1 update + SX

Hi guys,
I need help without my dilema.
Updated or not to update?
I'm on 4.0.1, i'm interested in TX SX Pro, dont care about homebrew, don't mind using dongle. Should I udate to 5.0.1?

Apparently that should work with ALL firmwares so i guess it kinda doesn't matter. Whether or not you upgrade firmwares or not. I could be completely wrong tho.

I got the same situation and I don't update. Besides you'll kinda have to once you are jailbroken to play newer games, since their OS support system updates. I guess it kinda like luma cfw on 3ds.

if you don't really care I could stay where you're at on till you get the sx then you can go from there unless you need to update for some reason its gonna work on 4.0.1 or 5.0.x

Technically true but you will be limited to games that support 4.1 or below because it does not use an emuNAND.

Also faq say that when game need 5.0.x u have to update also i want my microsd in exFat. I don't like to split xci.

This is my opinion on the matter. If you want to be able to boot up a CFW without using a dongle, you don't update. If you don't care about having to use a dongle/computer/phone to boot up a CFW then update.

full softmod would be nice without any dongle.

no interesting games on 4.1 for me so....
i have to deal with splitting xci
