I'm curious if my Switch got banned for using the browser homebrew launcher to play Snes games 2 months ago. But, I cannot check, because then my web browser would get the update that blocks it(or did they find out how to properly block that update yet...?), and, I can't even go on the Eshop, because I'm on 3.0. :(

But he says his switch sent weird requests to CDN. According to @SimonMKWii his HACDN app only send redownload request. So it shouldnt be suspicious. Or maybe is it ? Who knows?
You know, apps don't happen overnight. He obviously used his Switch certificate during development.

I didn't use my cert during development, but even so, my application sends 100% valid requests, which means the server cannot tell the difference between the app and a Switch.
As long as you don't install the cert and access the pages via Chrome, Nintendo cannot tell.

this is not my image but it seems like some bans are happening
No source? Don't know who is being banned or any reason why. This could be due to any number of reasons that don't relate to hacking neccesarily

EDIT: Turns out its an email ShinyQuagsire received from Nintendo after contacting them about his ban. Not sure if he expected them to ub-ban him or not.

His switch didn't do anything, he used its console cert while manually sending requests to the CDN to see what he could find. Obviously he sent a bunch of invalid requests and that's why he was banned. It's not a cause for panic, just a reminder what will happen if you play with the CDN.

I have not been banned.. i have used linux for switch, homebrew games, apps etc.. have not used cdn or any save modding tools. hope this helps narrows this down. i know i dont have much info to contribute but hey every little bit helps. :)

I'm still curious if they will ban homebrew usage and/or if they can see RCM applications.
