Be careful, I think my switch is bricked...
I used the new briccmii tool to autoboot in RCM and boot hekate CFW.

I put my switch in sleep mode and I removed the SD card.
I reinserted the SD card but now my Switch won't turn on even into RCM
The screen is black

Hold the power button for like 5 min or less then after that then try to boot in to RCM. because i think sleep mode is broken on it.

Not 5 min, but 6 (or 12) secs :P

How do you know it is not in RCM? RCM shows only black screen.

he put it in sleep mode and sleep mode is broken as of right now on the cfw that we have now so on any of them if you put it in sleep mode you get the black screen of death unless you do a hard reboot.

*snip*
WARNING: When active you will be unable to boot into Horizon, it will only be possible to boot the Switch through RCM payloads. Thus this should only be used by advanced users. Hekate and related payloads are not yet in a user friendly condition (sleep mode not working, games not loading etc.) so it is advised to not use this until Atmosphere is released.

if you failed to read and follow simple instructions, you deserve to brick your system

You need to HOLD power button for 12 ACTUAL seconds. For me sometimes I hold to ATLEAST 15 to make sure.
Your system should then be FORCED off. Now just power on like normal and your good to go.

Do remember that since you used bricmii your now forced to RCM, so you gotta load a payload after the 15 sec + re power on

And that's why we don't release useless payloads as long as they are useless.

"But I'mma be the first one! Just you see! TX got nuffin' on me!" -Some dev, probably.

Really though, the notes were there and he even mentioned the sleep mode bug in them. Sadly, users will be users.

dude... there is no point in using "autorcm" yet.

besides, of course the screen will stay black, it's booting rcm after all.
Well, people got what they wanted. Releases as it develops. Waiting until a truly user friendly variant comes out.

I'm on Jakkal's side. This is highly experimental and bugged software meant for devs only. If you're a end user, you're playing with fire, just like that guy with the violet screen brick.

And of course when something happens, "oh boo hoo i think i fucked up, time to open one more thread on gbatemp about how i didn't read the warnings!"

User will be users, and maybe wishing for a permanent brick on someone is a bit extreme, but Jakkal's right nontheless.

Don't play with fire people.

Why on earth are you even using the briccmii tool? We dont even have a working CFW yet?.... And you say its bricked....

You clearly aren't an advanced user, as advanced users know that theres no sleep functionality.

Please dont just start using tools when they are released, especially if its for advanced users. It serves you right otherwise.

What's the point of using AutoRCM right now ? Just solder it you got less risk than bricking on purpose your NAND.

I mean joycon cost around 65$. Even if you broke it you don't have to replace the entire system.
