That's not possible, I'm afraid. I don't have any friends with GBAs (they're all Sony heads or PC gamers) and I don't think it's worth purchasing a unit (used or not).

I had the same problem maybe because I had formatted the sdcard putting "ez" as the label. I quickly reformatted without a label with a generic sdcard formatter
now works.
