wow everyone's seems so complex. I just put some tin foil on my joycon on the 9th and 10th pin. Simple and it works.

There "Jigs" are use to ground the bins in the right side of the switch to access recovery mode, which is needed to run homebrew on the switch right now

Just so you know I can do them cheaper directly on gbatemp as I avoid fees etc (and I'm charging a little extra on eBay, as I'm sure at least a handful of buyers will claim to have not received it and get a try for a refund ), anyone else want one just inbox me on here and I will sort you one out for a better price

I got ripped off from Etsy.. $11 and it dint come with the paper clip .. just the 3D printed jig :/ .. trying to figure out how to do the test myself.

dude even a paper clip is to much effort, just use tin foil

mine is on 3.0 atm

I use one of the four screws from the joycon case rolled with copper wire and put it in the hole between welding of pin 9 and 10.

no i dont believe you do. But many of us including myself are on 5.0.2 which the jig is still needed

I just have some tin foil taped to my joycon bridging the 9th and 10th pins, and I can leave it on the joycon and it doesnt cause any issues.
