Regardless of the piracy discussion: I don't see the need to buy this, if you want piracy someone will prob just dump the payload on the USB C "mod chip" and release it for us to use free.

We dont need it but It is really cheap, it lets you inject payload without a computer/smartphone and it comes with a Rcm Jig. It is a good way to hack your switch while you are traveling (not everyone is going to buy an android device just for this).

The price of team xecuters solution doesn't matter, it's not worth it at all. I'm sure that someone will figure out pretty soon how to play backups, no need to buy an overpriced dongle/jig.

I know that atmosphere is going to be free but it is probably going to take a couple of months until it is finished, It is not overpriced if you consider you are also paying for the CFW

what your really paying for is to load a payload remotely without the need for a pc or phone. The most i'd pay is 25$ anything more than that is robbery. The software or software similar to this will be free either before or right after this is released.

If there wasn’t any “leaks” of free backup loader on the internet in the next couple of days, I’d be surprised lol.

There’s no way the devs gonna sit there and make those people profit from this ugly stuff. I was planning to make a dongle like that so we can go computerless before full CFW was released, but guess I don’t have to now.

Do somthing yourself rather then ”they will release bla bla bla”. Ofcorse Team Xecuter will take profit out of their product, same with Xbox. No one cried when they did that.

Ehm, Android has a 87% market share, and pretty sure most people in here who enjoy customizing there stuff would go Android over IOS, so that's not a issue + u can already buy chips thay auto inject a payload for like $12 or less, paying $30-$70 for a chip+jig is not worth it, but if you want to buy it sure.

Just to clarify things. Game switching, is emulate cartridge changing by switching between backups on SD card.

It doesn't help that the Nintendo scene is mostly entitled children who think they deserve everything.

Looks OK. But I'm really not interested in hardware solutions for CFW. They tend to get outdated really fast. I much rather wait patiently for Atmosphere and, down the road, a coldboot solution for 4.x. I'm sure everything else will be sorted out in time.

If i would have to guess its a usb type C flash drives with the files on it so I think it would be as easy as copying files from it and putting it on any usb type C usb drive and done.

Not that simple, it would still need the internal logic to actually run the payload, but yes it prob just stores the payload on flash, so stick in a PC and copy the files = profit, I guess they will have some mitigations to stop this, but it will be dumped.

People are lazy, but free solutions will come before they even get to preorders lol so hopefully they will be stopped

ReSwitched released their stuff early because another team released the exploit, ending their window of responsible disclosure. Nothing to do with morals.

It works on android or iphone, and for either of those a cable is WAY less than 30$.

It has already been teased, none have released anything public, but they will now no need for a modchip.
