So a couple of days ago some have spotted that Minecraft Nintendo Switch came out from the achievements on Xbox. So I’m assuming after a long delay (7months) are we finally nearing its release?

And after all the times I tried to explain that it was in testing by Nintendo...
:P

Anyway, I am hoping a few days so I can play around with that while I wait for the 26th to play a game I pre-ordered. But, knowing my luck it will be late april/early may as stated in an earlier post.
Achievements showing up could be a very good sign its about to be released though!

As of April 24th 2:20 AM (GMT), Minecraft Bedrock Edition was pushed to the eShop servers. Unfortunately, the update is still not available though. The reason I say this so confidently is because of the reswitched discord versionlist bot, showing a new title: Minecraft, not Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition which is important because that is how Bedrock versions are named. eShop updates normally happen on Thursdays afaik so that is a likely release window.

Hope this helps

EDIT: Upon further examination, it seems that the new Minecraft "update" appears to be displaying as a new game, not update, which would explain the lack of a release. Probably just something that went wrong. You can tell its a new title by looking at the title id's. The original ends with: 06800 and the new one ends with: 94800 (these are the last 5 digits of each). You can check on the ReSwitched discord for other listings to compare with, but they are all the same anyway.

It looks like any other update which is the legacy addition. Not the bedrock and we just got an update which was the final fantasy skin update I think your wrong

It still feels like a sign of change. Why would they spontaneously change how they refer to the game internally for no reason.

The name on the home screen would have changed to (afaik)

The update was so small so it's unlikely they would have changed the name.
But who knows. Maybe they are preparing for Bedrock, but not releasing it yet.

Ok I am right actually. At 3:20 AM today, a update was released WITH THE OLD NAME! So yes, that listing with the new name WAS Bedrock.

This explains me only getting the small update this morning.

I dont know I don’t think they submitted it. I can be wrong but on twitter recently I saw that a developer of bedrock was testing the Minecraft application art on switch but how can she do that if the game was already submitted

They still have access to the game, and a dev unit so they can still play around with dev versions.

While it’s under review by Nintendo?
Yes, but if they make any changes they have to send that new version to Nintendo, and will usually come out after release of the first update/initial release.

For example: Pretty much as soon as you posted that last message, the versionlist bot detected an update for Hyrule Warriors. but thats not out yet, only on pre-order.

So what’s your prediction on when the bedrock edition will release.

Thursday (tomorrow) or by/on next Thursday.

Could happen during the maintenance tonight, if the eShop goes down.

I can say for sure they are either waiting for the right moment for release or are doing last minute testing.

Looks like on the 24th, they had a livestream with Switch gameplay.
Same day the mysterious Minecraft title was posted.

I mean I’m still doubtful about it but man it’s been so long already lol
Its been confirmed in cert testing for well over a month now, and considering Minecraft is a fairly large game, it takes time. But, with the Minecraft title being pushed to the servers we can assume a release schedule of either a few days to a week, or a few weeks if they discover some bugs that need to be removed before it can be released. Nintendo may have found something and are waiting for a patch from Mojang. We just dont know. You are right to be doubtful, considering the delays and sources of information but I can pretty much confirm it will be released within at the most, 2 weeks.
