Model number alone is not enough. CUH-70xx can come with 4.70 or below. You need to check the serial number to narrow down the actual firmware version.

Without knowing the serial # is this a given that it should have a low firmware?

I have Infinite Warfare Bundle (the slim + game disc), it has 3.31 original firmware installed if I recall correctly.

no, I've didn't buy it. Just still looking for Pro. Today found one new CUH-7016B. Tomorrow man says will check FW on it. If it 4.55 or below - will buy it on 4th May

there was not 5.07 as far as i know, 5.50 came directly after 5.05. maybe return it or get it replaced?

No such thing as FW 5.07 released for PS4, you might be looking at something else. Post a picture.
