I originally had an sd card that wasn't compatible with bootmii which later got write protected which caused the wii to turn on by itself(plugged in obviously). A month later, I got a sd card that supports bootmii and hbc, but the issue is mainly that bootmii itself isn't loading. The proper directions for bootmii to be installed correctly were followed. Like, I go to launch bootmii and it goes into a sort of momentary limbo before returning to hbc. Any ideas?

You only have BootMii as IOS?
BootMii is rather picky with SD cards and often won't read the files from the card, acting like they're not there. As I have BootMii as boot2, in my case that would result in 2 drive flashes on power on, before the console boots normally. Switching to another SD card with the same files on it worked fine.
Do make sure that you have the Bootmii folder with the files in it on the SD card.
