this has been waaaaaaaaaaaaay overblown. dean is just looking into things and is nowhere near having anything at all remotely usable other than a mm icon showing up in the ps4 menu. he's just exploring.

while it's great he MAY take an interest in doing something on the ps4 and, I for one, truly hope he does, don't believe the hype being spread.

Hilarious how a simple comment of someone expressing an interest gets so blown out of proportion to the point that multiman for the ps4 is on the doorstep. That couldn't be further from the truth. An interest was expressed in possibly doing something on the ps4 and that is all. Sorry to burst the bubble but the bubble shouldn't have even been created.

What a toxic response from this ninitendo oriented community. Its clear from the recent ps3 exploits and ps3 setup threads that this community is far from knowledgeable in the sony scene.

If joonie, habib, deank and aldos join the ps4 community it will explode with features. Same old gbatemp, uninformed know all fuck all's spewing nonsense with no basis in factuality of the said devs history, skills and implementation of such.

You'll all eat your words not far down the track. Lucky these devs don't give a fuck about your shitty unaware attitudes. With the exception of Aldo who has grown tougher skin i believe, since the ps3 community shat on him in a similar way. These are very skilled people who do it for a hobby and a little gratitude. Not a freebie for unaware downplays and ridicule, for fuck sake.

Do some proper research on devs before spouting nonsense and potentially driving awesome projects to underground respectful prive groups.

LMFAO--uninformed?????????????

For your information, I haven't been online for a couple of days and immediately reached out to joonie as soon as I saw the news and was very excited.

What i posted above was direct information I received from joonie. Dean happened to mention in a chat that he was interested in doing a multiman for the ps4. Joonie jumped in and said he would love to work on the project. THAT IS ALL THAT WAS MENTIONED.

Every forum jumped all over this and made it seem like multiman for the ps4 was incoming and would be released shortly when in reality, no work has been actually done thus far. Nothing more than a "hey I might be interested in working on something" type of comment.

That is all I was saying. You want to be informed, then listen when someone tells you something instead of slagging an entire community because YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE HELL YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!!

Sorry to disappoint, but this isn't sour grapes, it's just the plain facts...

FYI, anyone that knows me knows I'm the furthest thing from a "nintendo oriented" person in any way, shape or form....do your freaking homework before you open you stupid mouth.

On the contrary, for me this is the kind of toxic post I was happy I didn't have to see at GBATemp, after coming from the other ps3 hacking forums back in the day. On those other sites, any criticisism or anyone not praising the smallest feature implemented by developers like deank and others, was accused of being 'ungrateful'. There was little objective discussion, only ass kissing and tiptoeing.

These developers are great, no doubt, and I'm happy people work on this. But as in any other medium, we should be able to separate the art from the artist. A forum where someone who expresses skepticism like the post before yours, gets sweared at by someone who obviously takes criticism very personal, is not a forum I would like to be part of. We should not have to self censor out of fear that someone will take offense and take their "projects to underground respectful prive groups".

Was my post in response to this thread a reply to your post or directed at you? Did i say you personally were nintendo orientated, or the general posting community here?.... paranoid much....

You don't know shit about the devs involved here or the likely outcome of their work.

I'm sure this thread is as offensive to the devs involved as much as it is to me. Why don't you direct Joonie to this thread, as well deank and ask them yourself, if your so in touch? You know all fuck all, egotistical keyboard warrior.

HYPE being spread? (not by me) Well i was the one who broke the news (well deank actually did with his post, i just relayed his post).
Which is showing that multiMAN for the PS4 is in development. So nothing overblown from the source's . It stating the fact that deank is developing multiMAN for the PS4.

If deank is sharing in public his aspirations and sharing screens and plans its much more then just "expressing a possibility" its more then that if deank went out to buy a PS4 now that he can create homebrew that is his goal and this was deank announcement he is developing multiMAN for the PS4.

So nothing overblown at all (from the sources) not sure how others have reported it or relayed the info. but very clear that this is in development.
The status is very early but deank has mad skills and this will be a project that will evolve just like all of deank projects.

I know deank well over the years and i know how he announces things. :) ..

Every forum jumped all over this

We "jumped all over" Deank OWN COMMENTS posted on our forum FYI .....

Every Forum? could you show where the source suggested any type of release date or the progress? We never suggested a release was incoming shortly, you made that own conclusion (someplace).

Development has a starting point and it has a finished point OBVIOUSLY its the start.. but that's the point its in development. Its not a sneak peak or an upcoming announcement. KNOW THE DIFFERENCE

YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE HELL YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!!

Please follow you own advice. i doubt Joonie even knows exactly where deank is at in a given point in a project., no doubt joonie has an good idea (and his words would be valid for sure), but as joonie knows as well deank is an assaisan (you never know where he might be) when it comes to coding,. You never know when a release will happen but don;t doubt he is working on this and that is what you seem to be doing. I did not suggest it was coming soon or was close or nothing of the sort i brought attention to deank's own shared media and comments and i think the conclusion is clear he is developing multiMAN for the PS4
Deank does not post it, like he did if he did not want it to hbe shared that is what he was doing sharing the aspirations to the public.

I never once said he ISN'T working on it, I simply said he had nowhere near a releasable or usable end product......you wanna generate hype, go right ahead but then don't jump down my throat for simply passing along info I've received.

You, yourself even mentioned that Joonie provided you with more information so why shouldn't I believe what he has to say or his knowledge on the subject?

Dean is absolutely a very talented individual and has helped me out a lot in the past on the ps3. I never meant any disrespect to him nor you, I was just trying to set people's expectations accordingly. As you can see, everyone made the leap and figured something was incoming where it could be weeks/months/if ever that something gets released.

I also know Dean and I also know he won't release anything unless it's up to his standard and reputation. At this point, there is no way to know if that will happen at all. Not that I doubt his abilities, just that I know him and know how high he sets the bar for himself.

You said it was "overhyped" by "sites" and you said that in two different threads this one and at playstationhax (where my link is the source in the thread). So that is implying that "I" overhyped this (since i wrote it) which is not the case. What Joonie said and you sharing is not an issue with me at all. Joonie is a good dude and info always solid, You saying it was "overhyped i personally take issue with, it was not overhyped by me in my opinion (maybe yours?). Deank shared the details for people, the news is for people.. The news did not provide any additional fuel or hype or suggestions/theories, just simply what the dev had stated. Joonie knows where deank is at but my point is not even Joonie will know how much progress deank will make on a given night. Deank may go dark for a few days and pump one out or this may be many months away. Timelines were never mentioned or talked about. I think its way to early for that, but i think many people are always curious what deank is upto and what the dev is working on and deank announcing he has bought a PS4 and is interested in PS4 homebrew is news by itself without multiMAN, with the pedigree of deank's homebrew and the lack of homebrew support on the PS4 that's huge news. Did you not get excited knowing deank bought a PS4 ;)
