Hacking Luma nightlies

Luma nightlies are back!

The build for the latest commit can be obtained from https://github.com/Pirater12/luma-nightlies/releases. The luma repo is checked for new commits once every 24 hours at 3:00pm JST which is 6:00am GMT.

Technical details:-
I have a php script on a raspi which checks the luma repo for new commits. It compares the latest commit's sha with the sha which is in sha.txt and if the sha do not match, it triggers a travis rebuild and stores the new sha in the sha.txt file. The travis script downloads the luma repo, compiles it and deploys it automatically on the repo's releases page.

Any ideas to improve the build system are welcomed!

You might see some releases/tags disappearing. This is normal because this means I was testing stuff to see everything was working as intended.

I always got my nightlies from http://astronautlevel2.github.io/Luma3DS/ so how do yours differ?

That sounds great , but the guy making these are different i don't know if i can trust these binaries because he seems not very popular on gbatemp or other sites who have things to do with 3ds scene

It broke when Luma nightlies started requiring a newer, unreleased (nightly) version of ctrulib and astronautlevel hasn't fixed it yet.

In case you haven't noticed if you try to download any recent nightly from astronautlevel's page you just get a 404 error as apparently his build environment is too old (you need a certain nightly version of ctrulib). Kartik's nightlies are actually downloadable.

He's been helping me fix Luma Updater. I trust him. Also what nl255 said.

I have also added duckbill's fork to the monitor list, this will help you to use the cheats feature which hasn't been merged into luma yet.

I haven't been able to update Luma through Luma updater for a while. It throws up an error every time. So this may be how I update it.

That‘s because of the changes on Github. The App needs to be updated by the creator otherwise it don‘t work.

Was really looking forward for this feature and now it‘s here so from now on i only need luma and no other plugins or Gateway to play singleplayer with cheats

Download and install the latest version of Luma Updater and use it if you have b9s. You can't install the nightlies through it but the app will load.

Some Updates:-

We are now using a better python script written by @Ev1l0rd running on his server instead of the php script. (Src code for the interested:- https://git.and-mate.me/noirscape/Luma3DS-nightlies/src/branch/master/monitor_update2.py)
The repo is now checked hourly for new commits instead of daily due to popular demand
