Hi guys. My Switch currently has a 128GB mSD in it and my system is quickly running out of room. I have about 51GB storage left on mSD, not using system memory for most storage. Does the Switch support mSD cards that are 256GB in size? If yes, is it worth getting one? They are kinda pricey I think (Saw one at Best Buy for $199. Almost as much as the Switch itself costed.). Also, if I do get one, how do I transfer my data and games to it? Thoughts and help greatly appreciated :)

I'd just archive the software I don't use currently to save space.
1. Yes
2. If you don't want to archive or switch between 2 128gb cards, then yes, otherwise no.
3. I think you can just copy-paste the files using a pc.

Well if you are running out of space at 128 GB and you want to hold all your games at once then yes it would be worth it.

There is no way to transfer date from one SD card to another you will have to re-download everything on the new one. (or keep both) Thankfully saves are stored on the system itself.

Ok, thanks for the info. Stupid question, but would I have to repurchase everything? If not, how would I download stuff like the expansions for Zelda BoTW?

Your purchases are linked to your Nintendo Account, so you can just redownload them for free (if you bought them).

As previously mentioned, using a PC you CAN just copy and paste the Nintendo Folder from the old SD to the new one

We both replied at the same time. I was under the impression that the SD card was encrypted. Good to know if I ever need to do an upgrade.

I have some side questions guys:
I just read a bit ago that hacking might be possible on 4.x firmware. How do I successfully block updates? My Switch is on 4.1. Am I good for this? Also, for blocking updates, I need to change DNS settings correct? Can I still access eshop, or does that only work on latest FW? Thoughts and help greatly appreciated :)

The switch will always ask before an update so just don't let it update.
