Today team Xecuter have released a new statement regarding their Nintendo Switch modchip: [prebreak]1[/prebreak]


"Here is a quick update on our product status:

After a few days delay due to Chinese New Year, we have finally received our prototype boards, as can be expected from any development cycle, we have experienced a few issues with reliability of our entry point, we will work on refining our method and keep you posted, stay tuned for more exciting news and videos in the coming weeks.

We are sorry for the delay, but we are also sure all Switch owners will be delighted by our product. It is worth the wait!"


No further information about the device is currently known, apart from there will be a solder and solderless version.

if you are referring to the qlutoo thing, he did say he would release the Homebrew Launcher on February 1st, and then the 15th, at which point he did not post so much as a "delayed again" message. People don't have much to go by really. Just getting a bit antsy is all.

The thing is.... they shouldn't be. There is really no homebrew for most people anyway. Hell, do we even have a way to launch it yet?

it was a new dev kit, i believe. i think this delay is just as they mentioned, unforeseen adjustments based on the hardware. it sounds like the entry point is not working every time, and they want to get that reliability up before releasing it.

To be honest we all saw this was going to happen. But, I guess I'll wait :/

I'm hoping it allows cheat support like gateway as I hate using my pc to search game memory knowing my pc has low ram.

why do people keep bringing up the wiikeyU that was obviously cancelled because the wii u got free piracy, why would they waste their money manufacturing something that nobody would buy.
the same thing will happen to this if free piracy for everyone happens but if it doesn't xecuter is a trustworthy team.

Xecuter never made anything to allow cheats, just piracy.

Trust me its like this.....coldboot exploit released....xecuter steal the work and call it their own.Release a mod chip which is encrypted somehow so it cannot be dumped.Anyone else finding it strange this delay happened right after a coldboot exploit was shown?? I used to work for them and this practice is common.

I don't think anyone will release the bootrom exploit before Xecuter, and if no one release it before Xecuter, then they made it themself.

its easy just ask big blue box , they need 1 person to leak some files and the bush is on fire , maybe they stole it from qlutoo or fail0verflow who knows ?

Few issues on the reliability of their entry point.
Why does that sound like a glitchchip in me ears.

I'll see what becomes of it.
Obviously, I'll have to get one to know the ins and outs of it, if I ever get a Switch with such a board installed for repairs.

They are wizards when it comes to efuses so yeah it can only be a a glitch chip.
