Hacking R4 Card is not working

Hi
Lately I found my Nintendo DSI xl, I tried to use my R4 Card but it didn't work any more. Is there any way to update my R4 card? My Nintendo Dsi xl has a frimware version of 1.4.5E, I also have an Nintendo DS lite and one of my friends has an Nintendo DSI that isn't upgraded.

Yes it does appear on the home menu, but when you click on it to start up the error popsup

you need a new card because this card isnt compatible with 1.4.5 and since you cant even boot into the menu your best bet is to just buy a new card from nds-card.com

Have you tried the card on your ds lite? If it works on that you may be able to update the kernel of the card but IDK that there is a kernel update for that card.

Does the card have a URL on it that tells you where to get the software for it?

No it doesn't have an Url link on it. It does work on my Nintendo DS lite (Also my friends DSI) but not on my DSI xl with 1.4.5E Frimware. I tried things to update it but there is no setting for "frimware update", after all I think I can upgrade it but i don't know how and where.

Hey the R4i Platinum Revolution uses the same kernel! What are the odds lol. Anyways, some R4 flashcarts do NOT have an update button but instead require you to use what is known as R4i Writer. Basically the R4i Writer is an nds file containing the update needed for the specified flashcart. Knowing that cart is a clone and is dated, it is best you just get an upgrade, the R4i Gold 3DS Plus is what you want these days.

The flashcard is probably from r4isdhc.com, maybe from r4sdhc.com.

The R4i Gold 3DS Plus should work with any (3)DS(i) system on any firmware; this card contains an switch for ntrboot (which was introduced about August 2017). It is much newer than the latest DSi firmware 1.4.5 (December 11th 2012).

The R4i Gold 3DS Plus works on the original DS, DS Lite, DSi, and 3DS consoles on their latest firmware directly. This flashcart uses Wood R4 v1.64 (it is technically v1.62 but it has an extra option) which has really nice game compatibility and cheat code support. Not only that but you have RTS and so many other options available to you, skin customization is also possible for it. As KleinesSinchen stated, there is a switch inside the flashcart that allows you to switch to NTRboothax for 3DS custom firmware. All in all you will have just about everything you need on a flashcart.

Hello, i somehow found firmware for my 8 year old purple R4iTT card and it worked fine. I launched Moonshell or whatever that is (Sound thing in the middle of R4 screen) and it froze. I restarted my console and now it says no card inserted. Every other card works but this doesn't. What should i do?
