Hacking GodMode9 AGB Save Options are missing??

Hello community!

I play Pokemon Red as VC title for now and I tried to backup the save with GodMode9. I booted the 3DS, started Pokemon Red, closed the software and turned off the 3DS. Than I booted the 3DS while pressing START and booted in GodMode9. Now I went to SYSNAND Virtual and to agbsave.bin. But when I select that file there should be on the bottom screen the option "Save Options". But thats not in my case. I followed the guide on 3ds.guide, but it doesn't work. Any tipps?

agbsave is for GBA games. Use Checkpoint or JKSM.

Oh, that's why I don't see this option. I already tried JKSM but it gives me a .dat file and I need a .sav file to use it on an emulator. :/

I feel it might work by just renaming the .dat to .sav
