can anyone help me out? i have a 3ds development unit, CTR, running ver. 0.0.0-0u
ive done all of the steps for my specific 3ds up to the point where i try to launch dukesrg.github.io/?SafeB9SInstaller.dat from the browser. it loads the webpage but all it says is "safeB9SInstaller.dat loading" anyone know what im doing wrong?

I correctly installed the CIAs and got my firmware to update finally, but now when i try to do the browser exploit it freezes at the webpage.. what am i failing to do.. someone please help.

https://dev.3ds.guide/

I've never owned a dev unit and I'd imagine very few people here have.
That said, dev.3ds.guide should have all the info you need.

Based off your posts It's kind of hard to be sure what you've done and what you still need to do.
Install B9S.
Install Luma
etc.
etc.

Just go through and do anything you haven't done already.

If you installed cfw and fbi, You should no longer need the browser exploit. You should install and use cia files and the homebrew channel.

that is how ive gotten this far.
Like you said, so far i havent found many people who have experience with the Dev Units.. im gonna just keep trying to initialize save data through the browser settings. thats the only solution ive seen posted so far.

The browser exploit is supposed to just be an entrypoint.
Once you have cfw and the ability to install CIA files, you should no longer need the browser exploit.
What is it in particular you want to do at this point?
https://smealum.github.io/3ds/ This is the homebrew launcher.
FreeShop if you want piracy. I'd suggest tikshop but apparently it's been deleted from github and discontinued. :(

where do i download cfw? the guide hasnt gotten me that far yet. I have the boot9strap folder with the two files in it i have the launcher.dat and boot.firm abd safeb9installer.dat in thats as far as ive gotten

You have followed the dev.3ds.guide?
Look at step IV https://dev.3ds.guide/installing-boot9strap-(browser) or maybe https://dev.3ds.guide/troubleshooting#ts_sys_b9s
Make sure you didn't skip/miss any steps.

I'd imagine you figured this all out yourself by now.
3ds.guide is the ultimate resource for 3ds homebrew, anything I could type for you will be lacking compared to the guide.

EDIT: I'm sorry for the stupidity of some of my earlier posts. I didn't realize the process for dev units involved CIA files much earlier. For end user consoles, you don't get into CIAs until you have CFW installed.

my problem is once i put in the html link for the broswer exploit my 3ds freezes. it never starts the safety checks.

Browser based exploits (such as browserhax or 2xrsa) are often unstable and crash frequently, but they can sometimes be fixed by doing the following steps.

  1. Launch the browser, then launch the browser settings
  2. Scroll to the bottom and Initialize Savedata (it also may be called Clear All Save Data)
  3. Try the exploit again

ive done this step several times. this is the only troubleshooting advice i get.

still no luck. i even gave the other links a try. i still freeze every time when trying to load the executions for the broswer exploit.
