I'm having an issue with loading games through usb loader gx, I followed all the steps properly detailed in the guides and have done so twice now for two different Wii systems. The only difference is that for the first system I used a 64Gb SDXC Card for the programs (Cios and UsbLoadergx) as well as the games, now since I couldn't load the games from just the sd card I use a usb sd card reader that I plug into the back of the console and this set up works just fine on both consoles, however when I use the second systems set up which includes a standard 512Mb SD card for the programs and a SanDisk Cruzer Blade 32Gb thumbdrive for the games each time I attempt to load the games they go into a black screen which turns off my wii remote. For testing purposes I've tried using a different usb device which is a Kingston Datatraveler 102 8Gb thumbdrive loaded up with one game that being New Super Mario Bro's Wii and it works fine in comparison to the SanDisk thumbdrive. This is quite a frustrating experience trying to resolve this issue. Is there anything you guys can recommend that will fix this issue? I'm wary of just going out and buying other thumbdrives seeing as I could run into this issue again and would have wasted my time and money.

Have you tried using WiiFlow? I had the same issues with USB Loader but when I moved on and tried WiiFlow I could successfully load up plenty of the games I wanted to play!

Hello,

Did you try Configurable loader v70 ??

Some usb or DDE keys work poorly or not with the wii.

Try other usb sticks

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:

still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
