Good evening!

After putting the "ds_ntrboot_flasher_dsi.nds" in the root of my flashcart's SD, and booting the flashcart in my New 2DS XL (it happens in my O3DS too) and loading the nds file after booting the flashcart in the 3DS, I press A and when I try to select (what it is supposed to be my flashcart) "R4 GOLD 3DS", I get "FLASHCART SETUP FAILED", but if I go to R4iSDH it says me "NOT SUPPORT RESTORE - Flashcart functionality will be lost" and let's me proceed even when my flashcart is a GOLD one.

In the description of R4iSDHC says that the flashcarts from r4isdhc.com are compatibles with this, -even, again, being a GOLD R4-.

My problem here is, that I want to flash the flashcart to hack my New2DS and I'm afraid that if I proceed with the R4iSDHC (which is the only option that lets me proceed) it gets my New2DS bricked after trying it to hack.

So, even if my flashcart id a R4 SDHC Gold PRO (with the r4isdhc.com in its sticker), my question is: The problem is the flashcart (or I should ignore the GOLD part and go with R4iSDHC?

Thank you very much.

I forgot to mention: Its the R4 Gold Pro RTS.

R4isdhc.com carts (gold, dual core, lite) 2014 to 2017 are all the same. If you have that exact same "gold" cart as pictured, it's the same one I used and it worked fine. Restore works too, the guide has backup.bins you can use.

Is the exact one. Even 2017.

You flashed it with the R4iSDHC option right? And are you telling me that there are backups in the guide site to reflash the flashcard to it's natural function: playing DS games? I forgot to make one of my flashcard and It'd be great if so.

Thank you very much, what a relief!

Affirmative on both. Can't go wrong with the holy guide ;)

I truly love you mate. Hahahaha!

Nice to hear, it's an specific place those backups in the guide, or I will find them in the end or something?

Thank you.

Now, after flashing the flashcart, the 3DS doesn't detect it. That's alright. Now, with the 2DS powered off, I put the magnet under the 2DS -tested before if it makes correct contact to put the 2DS to sleep mode and it did-, I turn on the console, pressing START + SELECT + X, and the console boots and gets to the menu in sleep mode automatically. Any ideas? :/

EDIT: My bad. I didn't rename boot9strap.firm to boot.firm.

Thank you for everything!

Double check position of magnet. Also button press is finicky, easiest is get the button combo pressed then while holding buttons pressed, press power to get into ntrboot.

Thanks for your answer, but the problem was that I didn't rename the boot9strap.firm to boot firm. :)
