Hi,
I've ordered SD2Vita v2.0 and after checking all the tutorials and done everything I could. I still couldn't get it to work.
So here is what I have so far:
- I checked the soldering. Everything seems to be connected fine. (after my own resoldering)
- SD2VITA has isolation tape on it.
- Vita is 3.60 with HENkaku and Enso
- Vita runs fine, plays from internal memory or Sony SD card or Sony Game Cartridge just fine.
- It can run any home-brew I threw at it.
- After my own resoldering vita started to "Hang on boot" or "Hang on power-off". So the Enso logo keeps displaying forever till I eject the SD2vita.

I tried multiple mSD cards. From various capacities. All were formatted in ex-FAT. And before that the Image was also "burned" on it. So I followed the tutorials. Used wololo as one of the sources.

So I really have no clue at all what I'm doing wrong or why it wouldn't want to work at all :C please help me.

Cheers,
Alex

Try Fat32 and NTFS.

There are no brandings on it anywhere, only that "smiley" isolation. It's the kind that can be ejected from the cardslot. And not It's never getting recognized by vitashell. It either hangs on start or if i load Henkaku after boot, then when i install molecularShell it hangs. and when i press power button on and off for it to auto exit the molecularshell install. it doesnt do that. :C So it sees the SD but for some reason it cant get on with it. And if i just press power button and wait. The Green LED starts to blink. Suggesting there is some kind of problem.

Hanging at the enso logo on boot sounds like the same issue I had with 2 different faulty sd2vitas. The LED near the cart slot would flash constantly as it tried to read but failed. Same microsd in other sd2vitas worked fine.

The fact it's hanging at that point suggests you have the plugin correctly configured in ur0:tai/config.txt. If you've confirmed pin continuity then its likely the shape of the pcb meaning it doesn't make proper contact with the vita cart connector.
The tape should only be required for the very original adaptors that had exposed test points, perhaps try removing the tape you added but it's a long shot.

The smiley face ones had really bad quality control, the white text black plastic ones were better but still pretty bad, red text black plastic have less reports of issues and the white plastic ones are too new to really say (still waiting on mine).
Personally I'd say go with the red text black plastic or the white plastic ones.

Could you be so kind to give me a link or picture to one so I know what exactly I'm looking for? And how about the new version 3.0 that are completely closed off and look like a real deal?

Yep, that's the black plastic red-text version. I'd recommend either one of those or the newer white plastic version.
The white plastic one should allow the cart-cover flap on the vita 2000 to close completely, most others make it stick out a little (unless you file the top corners down a bit to make it fit nicely).
You can read more about the different versions here: https://www.reddit.com/r/vitahacks/comments/70wwlz/vita_memory_card_adapter_sd2vitapsvsdetc_buysell/

There are plenty of sellers on ali/ebay etc.
