Hacking System transfer

Hello reptilians,

I have an old 3ds version 11.3 with homebrew, and I have an new 3ds xl with 11.6 with no custom firmware. And i wanna transfer from my old 3ds to new one, and it prompt me to update the old one. Is there anyway to bypass the update so i can transfer to the new 3ds and keep the customfirmware?

i dont know, i used soundhax to get homebrew, very new to this :/

just read what I wrote. Id doews not matter what CFW you have (as long as it is luma), you can always safely update.

When you hold Select while turning the system on, so you see the Luma config screen? If not, you may just have homebrew, not CFW. You need to follow https://3ds.guide fully. Afterwards, you can use https://3ds.guide/installing-boot9strap-(dsiware-game-injection) to install CFW on the new 3DS.

made it work with luma, so guessing i have proper cfw now that i can launch luma. so now i just need to try and system transfer it all..

If you want CFW on the target you have to follow https://3ds.guide/installing-boot9strap-(dsiware-game-injection) otherwise only your bought games will transfer over and.you won't be able to get CFW on the target (unless you wait seven days so you can transfer again and follow the guide properly).
