After going through all the steps of getting ugopwn on the sd card when I get to the final steps of touching erase and then paste I just get 2 white screens. What am I doing wrong?

If you have an outdated pack, try downloading the latest pack, and make sure there's boot.nds on your SD root.

Interesting, so it is 122 steps. I noticed that it was 122 and not 120 for the leak also despite the incorrect instructions to try 120 which never worked for me.

uhh, in part 66, it says to do this;
Open the folder called "titles" in the NUSDownloader_v19_DSi directory of your PC, open the folder named "00030017484e41[XX]", and open the folder named "512

but i only have "0003000f484e4841" and: "000300015484e425"

"000300015484e425" has the "512" folder where "0003000f484e4841" does not...

wich should i use?

so i got it working on my DSiXL. can anyone point me to a way for me to copy sudokuhax from my old DSi to my DSiXL with this?
my progress so far

That seems to be a case of the ticket for Sudoku not being there or getting messed up somehow. Either way, the fix is easy. Grab the ticket for sudoku from the DSi that has it already, decrypt it using twltool and that DSi's console ID, and re-encrypt it using the other console's ID.

If it still doesn't work on that, the guide in my signature has instructions for installing Sudoku from scratch.

After reading all seven pages I still have no idea what this hax is for. :(
For running retail and homebrew (including DSi-mode ones) ROMs without a flashcard, and also for downgrading the system firmware and running RocketLauncher+HiyaCFW (both aren't out yet).

It's for Flipnote Studio. If you're familiar with the 3DS, this is analogous to Cubic Ninja's ninjhax, it's a userland exploit for running homebrews.

However, because of the way the DSi is set up, we can do much more stuff than ninjhax could on the 3DS. Using this exploit, we have the permissions necessary to make full Nand backups and restores.

If you wanna learn how to use it, check out the guide in my signature or https://dsiguide.me

No problem!

Just in case someone ever comes around with the same question, was it an issue with the tickets? Or what it something else?

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

i think only the red mario kart edition phat was v5

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
