How would this make dev mode emulators run faster? That's up to the people coding g the emulators.
This new update upgrades the UWP resource allowance, so DEV Menu Apps/Homebrew get more access to the GPU/CPU/RAM etc..
So Emulators = Faster :)

well dont look at me i've had the fall update for a couple months because of preview dash, still dont see anything running better
I thought you couldn't run Dev mode on a preview dash. I remember reading that somewhere. But maybe it just wasn't enabled in the preview version.

i can test later today as it may be that the increased resources have not been accessible yet as in my experience the beta of the fall update brings no performance improvments

I do not know if this update include the updated dev mode size. Also I think asbestos needs to make a new build first so that the power increases. I could be wrong but that is what I heard

I just updated my xbox one s and I was shocked when it was done, all my installed games were gone
I had over 2TB of games installed on my xbox one s, it will take forever to reinstall them again :gun:Microsoft.
Did this happen to all of you guys, or just me?

Ya can't. You have to leave the preview if you want to use dev mode
i still get the insider updates tho so it must work

Are you sure it was the new dash? It could've been the old dash.
i've had the new dashboard for a couple months before my friends so it must be the preview dash

This is where I read it: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-activate-dev-mode-your-xbox-one-console

If your console is part of the preview program, you can't activate the Dev Mode on your Xbox One. In this case, you will need to use the Xbox Preview Dashboard app to leave the program, which will reset the console to the factory default settings, and you will have to reinstall all your games and apps.

Can confirm @Pickle_Rick and his quote. Recently signed up for the preview program and was accepted. Attempted to enter Dev mode and was greeted with an error stating that preview enabled consoles are ineligible for developer mode.

Had to format the whole shebang because dev mode was more important.
