Just how the fuck is 1-2 Switch a piece of ransomware?
locks up your switch until you milk 999 cows dry

world of Goo.
And even that I wouldn't consider a bad purchase in general.

Normally I just avoid buying utter garbage. That somehow always worked out perfectly for me.

didn't buy it but played the demo of that spelunker party...what a piece of garbage deleted it in under 10 mins.
Oh, I played the DEMO of that game several months ago from the Japanese shop.
I though it was a nice game, nothing groundbreaking but it had its charm.

Regarding games that I've bought, I can say the most disappointing one was I am Setsuna:
Why? Well I expected a lot from this game based on reviews and user comments... but this was my opinion after playing the game:

Regarding the Switch port: It is good.

That aside, the game itself is not good. I don't get why it has so much positive reviews.

Visually it is completely generic, most character designs are flat, and the whole snow theme feels overused.

Regarding its music, it is boring, one can stand monotone out of tempo piano for so long.
I think Yasunori Mitsuda must feel hurt if this game was trying to homage his tunes.

The story telling is bad, it doesn't catch you because of uninteresting characters and just bad pacing.
The writing is terrible. It is boring to read and it seems filler text was just poured into the NPC dialogs to fill them up and make the game last longer.

And talking about making the game last longer, the walking speed on the over world is slow for no reason, well no reason other than making it last longer artificially.
I find it quite cheap that the creators didn't make the globe rotate and span, when you ride your airship you are limited by bounds in the world map instead of just going around the globe... Or perhaps the creators were flat-earthers?
Also this game really needs a in-game world map.

Regarding the battle system, it has too many unnecessary mechanics and too little challenge.
It is quite unbalanced and just boring.
It is just a look-alike of Chrono Trigger's system, when you actually use it and look at the details you see it wasn't polished and it is broken instead.
I think mmadnessgames' review explained very well the battle system faults, even if it is one of the first turn-based RPGs he played.

Conclusion: If you wanted to play something like Chrono Trigger, better go play Chrono Trigger again instead.

That said, that was the most disappointing game I bought, the worst one... that one goes for "Rudymical: Dark witch music episode"
I really like Rythm games, but this one seems off-rythm, it doesn't feel right at all... It's so meeeeh...

The worst game so far for me was Plantera DX. I did not enjoy it that much and it was not worth the price. It should have been $1.99 max.

I hope Octopath Traveler doesn't suffer the same fate...

I'm glad people can come forth and speak about Breath of the wild being disliked, don't have to hear people talk about how perfect of a game it is, Is not. The game has obvious flaws, but is still playable and okay for the most part. Just would have been nice to maybe have some of those things changed to maybe optional.

Revenant Saga:

Controls terrible, worse than a snes era game.
NPC's constantly walk on the spot.
Worse battle animation than, well anything.
Terrible graphics.
Feels like an emulated game with no frame throttle turned on.
In game counter continues while in sleep mode.
Abysmal story.

Avoid this game at all costs.

Yeah I got burned on this one, I had looked up a couple of reviews that were reasonably good, but nope this ranks as one of the worst games I've ever bought.

Shame too because I got Brave Dungeon+ the other week that was damn good despite it's budget.

This game would have been playable if the controls weren't so god damn shit. I wouldn't mind but it's only moving left, right, up and down. How hard is that!

Come on, y'all should have known about those KEMCO games, they are everywhere, WII U, and All over the android play store. Or did you forget BUGS BUNNY CRAZY CASTLE! :creep:

I mean sure they did stuff like top gear on SNES and Megadrive, but they managed to still exist with so many of those mobile clone rpg games. You would be surprised at the number of games they was involved in. If you EVER see kemco, avoid it please. At least until they can publis a game that isn't under $30 or at retail like they used to. :ninja:

To answer op question, I was gonna say pokken tournament dx but I only played the demo, since I didn't buy I won't say it. Instead I'll choose Shovel Knight treasure trove. For one thing the price increase to $25, I own the wii u game for about $15 and I didn't even have to buy it on switch cause of that. I always look back and wonder if I should have regretted it, had I known the wii u was gonna get the free updates for characters, I probably wouldn't have gotten it.

It was the second game I got on switch, (cause of the bad Line up of launch titles) I liked shovel knight and wanted something else to play other than Legend of Zelda so i got it. I keep feeling like i didn't need to buy it but is too late now. I probably would have still gotten it anyway, maybe if they didn't increase price or retail copy. I assume after all the updates are done, they will do a limited print of the game in retail for about $40 just to make the purchase worth it. So far I seen people selling retail switch games for more than they are worth simply to add to the idea of paying $30-$40 for a game that isn't worth that much.

Example is Puyo Puyo Tetris, $30 on eshop $40 at retail, cause they included 2 key chains. Instead of adding content to make the game on it's own worth paying that price, they add stuff to the purchase to make up for the total cost. Being honest here, no one is gonna release those switch cars for less than $30, it just wouldn't be cost efficient, even if sales would be better. If they did something like i suggested earlier then it would have the result that Shantae Half Genie Hero ultimate editions has, retail release will have all DLC included making the total $40 Or azure striker gunvolt striker pack where they made a effort to add additional content or improve the game further.

Kamiko. Looked like a good little Legend of Zelda styled game.

IT'S BLOODY AWFUL. STAY AWAY!

I bought it very shortly after getting my Switch. I STILL feel robbed.
For me it looked like an OK Hyper Light Drifter rip-off.
But then I bought and I think it is a very lazy Hyper Light Drifter rip-off.
It was very cheap, so I didn't feel robbed at all, but I was disappointed.

Snake Pass or Pokken. Both boring AF IMO.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

*Severed.
I would also like to know, but the touch-based gameplay looks too much smartphone gameplay for me.
Played Severed on my Vita. I loved it. Wouldn't pay more than 10-15 bucks for it though. Very fun game.

I only have Splatoon 2 and Sonic Mania until Super Mario Odyssey releases next week, so I'd say Sonic Mania is my worst Switch purchase so far even though it's still quite awesome. I'm planning to buy Golf Story soon as well, so maybe that will be worse.

Vroom in the Night Sky. Although the translation was hilarious, even more so prepatch
