I would go for N2DSXL. Just because I don't use the 3D effect at all and I like the design of the N2DSXLaw per title really, which 3ds/2ds would you get?
But best is top IPS and bottom TNWhile I don't use the 3D feature on the N3DSXL, I appreciate the better build quality and better panels (dual IPS here) over the N2DSXL.
There is no reason why you would prefer a TN over an IPS for handheld gaming. But best is top IPS and bottom TN
Well, TN eats less power, and you don't really need it on secondary. Most of the time, you are looking straight at it, so you don't need that extra viewing angles. And because it is secondary screen, you don't need that super colors (because most of the time you are watching top screen). This is why I would prefer TN panel on bottom screen. But hey, that's just what I thinkThere is no reason why you would prefer a TN over an IPS for handheld gaming.

Ma boi2ds/n2ds is the is the poor man's knock off.
You're not making a good case. "TN screens are horse shit, but you don't really need good color reproduction or broader viewing area". You don't really need a ds either, so.. what are you talking about?Well, TN eats less power, and you don't really need it on secondary. That I would rather play 1 hour longer then have amazing screen I use only 2-3 times in hour. You're not making a good case. "TN screens are horse shit, but you don't really need good color reproduction or broader viewing area". You don't really need a ds either, so.. what are you talking about?

IPS is more power hungry then TN.Source: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/andyrobertson/2015/01/23/new-3ds-battery-test/amp/
- New 3DS XL – 5 hours 45 minutes
- New 3DS – 5 hours 23 minutes
- 3DS XL – 5 hours 01 minutes
- 2DS – 4 hours 36 minutes
- 3DS – 4 hours 05 minutes
So much for that arguement
Yea. That tells us pretty much nothing.Maybe, but doesn't mean TN gives better power consumption overall
Also, n2ds xl review:
"Booting up Mario Kart 7, we clocked in three hours and 50 minutes of continuous play of the game before the power cut out."

The n2ds is more power hungry than the n3ds. Just because it has a less power intensive screen doesn't mean there aren't other factors. I could post more sources to prove this, but your one of those people.Yea. That tells us pretty much nothing.
I am not arguing with someone who knows everything. IPS on 3DS eats more then TN. That's fact. The n2ds is more power hungry than the n3ds. Just because it has a less power intensive screen doesn't mean there aren't other factors. I could post more sources to prove this, but your one of those people.
