Hi,

I still have the problem with Illusion of Gaia or Terranigma.

I installed the modules (Screes. 4) nothing happens.

Then pick retroarch and snes9x2010 in the game list and in the command line, at last point I write " --retroarch" (Screens. 5) but the same problem, It doesn't working.

I have no idea, what I doing wrong. Forgot I a step?

You did the whole "hold reset while powering on" deal?

I got gameboy games working but the gameboy module included doesn't seem to have super gameboy support. Is there a specific module for super gameboy support that works on the snes classic?

hakchi2 v2.21b

What's new:

  • Better games compatibility for SNES Mini (updated database of preset IDs, better LoROM/HiROM detection).
  • Built in database of problem games, so hakchi2 will ask you to switch to 3rd party emulator automatically (e.g. RetroArch).
  • Original games are not using extra memory space anymore, so we have some extra space for additional games (thanks to DanTheMan827!)
  • "remove_thumbnails" mod no longer slows down SNES Mini's startup (thanks to brian91292!)
  • Bundled with new mod "snes_custom_filters" which allows to disable scanlines in CRT mode or enable bilinear filter in 4:3 mode. Please read mod description before install.
  • Bundled with new mod "extra_space". This is experimental mod for SNES Mini which moves your save-states data to unused partition of NAND flash. This partition is only 50MB in size but it will free some space for games because SNES Mini's save-states are huge. Please read mod description before install.
  • Bugfixes.
RetroArch mod v0.9b

  • Fixed bug causing exit on any button press
  • "--retroarch" argument is working again for SNES
  • Scanlines overlay (thanks to @arcadetv!)

Having issues remapping buttons using fba core. Tried remapping for Marvel vs Capcom and after mapping the first button, "A" button no longer works. Have to power down just to get out of retroarch and back into main screen, and reinstalling modules modules to get "A" button functioning again. Anyone experience this? Any fix? Tried seeing if the hmod had controller config file but no dice. Would like to be able to set my own button mapping.

thanks in advance.

Thanks for the great work man, I just have one question. There's no way to upgrade to the newer version without starting all over correct? Or is there some way to implement an internal upgrade system?

Is it possible to copy over the converted ROMs (assigned folders in games_snes) I converted in 2.20 over as-is or do I need to re-convert them?

4th tab on the top, first option lol.

Okay :D
Also the question about my previous query, can we copy over the games folder from 2.20 and import them as-is? Or do we need to re-convert? Also, I assume we need to start from scratch if we're to upgrade?

My educated guess would be that you only would have to bother with reconverting the ones that didn't work in Canoe. The reason for that is to see if Cluster's new code detects them properly and makes a change to make them work.

Sometimes they still won't work though as there may still be detection issues with hakchi or they are straight up incompatible with Canoe (which you can double check on the compatibility spreadsheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17RX45oDSm-bYXPOiGz_cIVYt5wtZCYnacbDFciegnRk)

Then it'd probably be best to re-convert them, all the games I have right now work, I believe (not sure about FFVI uncensored patch or Breath of Fire 2 re-translation though). And starting from scratch? Flashing stock kernel and doing custom again?

Good day,

What's the best emulator to run the arcade version of NBA Jam TE using the snesc?
I've tried on the NESC. I've had bad luck with NBA Jam. MAME 2000 works the best, but it runs slowly with sound issues. 2003/2010 crash for me.

I opted to go with the Playstation version of NBA Hangtime (basically the same game). I use a compressed version which is about 35MB. Runs flawlessly on the NESC. I assume SNESC is the same for both games.

No, I'm saying that if they work right now then you don't need to reconvert them until they stop working. However, I've been told you should definitely uninstall hakchi from the SNES Classic and reflash your stock kernel before you switch hakchi versions.

Sorry @hectorevil. I'm not ignoring you. Just have no idea. :)

Uninstall? Or flash stock kernel from the version I last used, then move to the most recent version, dump kernel and then flash custom? I hear uninstall, and I also hear flash stock kernel, which one?
