I'm still using release candidate 2. No major issues for me as such.
I've even added a load of NES and GB/GBC games to my selection of games. (Had to deselect a bunch to save space)
They work pretty well via the retroarch a few pages back.

If only we could get more room on these things. Really hard limiting yourself to a golden few hundred!
(177.5/196 mb used. 79 NES games, 21+64 SNES games, and 19 GB/GBC games. Just 183 overall!)

EDIT: Aaaah! I found something

https://nukesaq88.github.io/Pngyu/

Use this, point it to your games_snes folder. Now click the cross search for .png in the popup window and ctrl+a all the pngs that show up
Convert them all in one go. And voila: you saved a few megs.
I saved 12mb doing this. 184 games: 167.9/196 space used
Every little helps.

Heck I compressed them again and saved another 1.2mbs.
Got about 30mb of free space now. Need to keep a little back for savestates and stuff right guys?

A bit confused here with the retroarch, you either have the official emulator, or if you pick retroarch it raplces it? Or can have both running?

Also when adding more games with hakchi, do those games have same features as included games i.e. rewind and suspend play?

Having only 20 or so MB of space you won't be able to save in all your games.

Obviously not.
That's why most of the games I added are arcadey in nature, stuff that doesn't need saves or like only one savestate at most.

I can always wipe the odd game I beat here and there too.

EDIT: Now if only we could compress the roms even further beyond that of what haxchi already does now using 7zip.
I don't need to add any more games atm but more space is always peace of mind. haha

Just 1 savestate for each of your snes games with the rewind set to minimum and the battery save would need about 27MB of storage with no saves from your nes or gb games.

And if any of the snes games are set to longer rewind the will need 1 to 2 MB each savestate.

Thanks for the information. I'll be sure to commit to only a few games at a time outside of arcadey stuff like Sunset Riders.

Like 1-2 nes games and 2-3 snes games.
Probably DKC2, Megaman X2, and finish of Super Castlevania IV.

Could probably delete my savestates for DKC and Megaman X. I already beat those.

Edit:That being said, is there a way for haxchi to disable rewind to save space?
I really dont need it. I feel savestates are cheating enough. I only ever use them if I take too long to get to a boss when I redo a level after I die, or to save my progress on a game overworld/save point and lock it, so I can resume it later.

EDIT: Removed some unused Retroarch modules, and deleted those save states. Now I'm up to 166.6/212.7mb Save states do seem to eat the memory up. So best be wary not to abuse them guys. (Like 2mb per snes savestate it seems)
So Savestate manager in haxchi is very useful. Clear the saves of the games you beat. Or at least erase the save data for the built in 21 games if you aren't removing them (I wouldn't myself).

Info:
If you want change Roms with your own Version (e.g translations or patches) you must change the PresetID for those games within hakchi2. I'm not sure if this is a bug but currently you cannot add zelda or secret of mana without an c7 error. Simply Change the PresetID's with CTRL+ALT+E and those games running.

I added tons of games with the RC3 and only one gave C7!
Super Street Fighter 2

Two of those I installed will not work correctly
Actraiser 2
Illusion of Gaia

(I know they are reported as not working already)

when selecting character in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 had a weird audio glitch, it repeated the sound but everything worked fine!

Any tips on Actraiser and Illusion of Gaia?

More importantly though, each time I shut my Snes Classic I get C8 error... I have to press power on and then off to shut it off, not ideal (surely this can't be good)

On an other topic, I knew that all these manual game injections would mess with people and confuse them, we now see useless questions about converting sfc and smc roms to sfroms... :(

I can't seem to get Kirby's Dream Land 3 or Mario Kart working.... They crash me to a C8 error every time, no matter what ROM dump I use or .desktop stuff I edit.

I'm totally happy with RC4. I managed to get some hacks running and it's just fantastic! I got RetroArch running, too. How do I force RetroArch to start a snes-game (for a few problematic roms)? I have the snes9x-module already installed. Any help is appreciated!

Patiently waiting for official release...From this thread I've learned save states, suspend games, cover art, etc. will function as normal for your own added games...But will the "my game play demo" and "classic demo" still function as normal on idle main menu with added games in the roster?
