They should be gzipped. There is a System Selector in Hakchi. If you add SNES Games with NES Selected, it will 7zip them, as it did with the NES Classic. The ones you want to run via Canoe, on the SNES Classic, need to be in sfrom format, and you can gzip them right inside the folders! My video shows this. Obviously, if you convert the sfroms, externally, away from hakchi2, adding them will not 7zip them You can simply gzip them, without issue! No Command Line changes or Desktop File Changes necessary, whatsoever (for the gzip portion).

I totally get my problem now! and I fixed it now and works thx... what I did I gzipped the smc files and added that to hakchi and my snes mini had no idea what to do with these files.
Does anyone have the RC2 available for download and testing? I don't know anything about compiling and was wondering if someone had something I could test, thanks
the snes mini can indeed read 7z files.
i added a couple of games earlier with hakchi rc2 without changing anything myself other than dropping the game on hakchi and syncing it to the snes. works for me.

So. I've been testing out the release candidate and tested quite a lot of games (about 100 or so) and here's what I've found that has had issues:
Bahamut Lagoon c7 error black screen
Seiken Densetsu 3 : c7 error (edit: another copy I had does work. Seems you need the right version of the translated rom)
Dragon quest III (translated): c7 error
Tetris Dr. Mario - weird screen glitch but works
Super Street Fighter 2 - c7 error
Illusion of Gaia - black screen after starting game
Rock anmd Roll racing goes ingame but menu is black. Can't navigate
popn twinbee - rainbow bell adventures weird screen glitch but works fine
popn twinbee - weird screen glitch but works fine
The firemen - Needs 60hz patch else sound is bad. Works fine when patched
stunt race fx - menu glitch otherwise ok
Treasure of the Rudras - c7 error black screen
This screen glitch I'm referring to is the game rendering over the overlay border. Slightly to the right, and slightly larger than it should be.

The reddit post seems a bit foreboding, like how it mentioned that kernel flashing and dumping doesn't seem to work..?
"Kernel dump works. Full NAND dumping is not working. It errors out. Awaiting kernel patching/etc.
Kernel patching/flashing errors out. Could not find path of hackchi-temp during custom kernel flash.
Error seems to not matter. Uploading Killer Instinct.
Confirmed it works. By default added games show up in a 'More Games' folder."

Is there anyway to batch convert .smc or .sfc files to .sfrom files using Python. For the video manic put up yesterday he did them one at a time.
OR
Wondering if this even needs to be done prior to new release of Hakchi? Thinking new Hakchi will convert for us. But will it be able to convert them and .gzip them as well? Time will tell I guess.
No i put sfc games (drag and dropped them on hakchi) and hakchi converts them to sfrom and 7zip's them, then i synced them with the snes and they work.
If you put 7zip in hakchi then yes it will uncompress them as it is coded to do. if you select the game in the list with rc2 or newer there's a checkbox to compress/uncompress the game.
Got a tutorial video here I made you just have to convert smc,sfc to sfrom then "brac hakchi" does the rest. Anyone figure out how to add more than 30 games without issues?
