Hi everyone.
So basically , today i have been wanting to try my O3DS , however , the console does not turn on.
When i put it to charge , the orange light turns on , however , when i press the power button , the console does not boot , it doesnt even turns the blue LED on.
This console hasnt been updated , its still using A9LH and its not FW updated.
I tried to enter the recovery mode by pressing L+R+A+Up , but it still does not turn on.
I must say i havent used this console for weeks , maybe even for 1 month.
I have also checked the SD card and its contents and they all seem fine , but i dont know if i could be missing a file.

nvm , the 3DS needed to charge , however , it seems weird that even through it was charging the console would not turn on.

Just so you don't worry, that's not weird, the old 3DS won't turn on until the battery is at least a bit charged even if it's plugged in.

i accidentally formatted the sd card on my old 3ds and it kinda caused this issue. was using luma 2.4 and trying to get it to hack my new 3ds on 11.6 and use it to stream the new 3ds wirelessly onto my pc for videos. im thinking i fucked up the battery cause its still charging after an hour

My O3DS has this problem. If it's charging, I have to press the power button several times before it will turn on. As far as I can remember, it's always done this.

@terraftv If you have A9LH or B9S installed, and you formatted your SD card and never put the proper Luma3DS files back onto the SD card, then that might be causing your 3DS to shut off immediately after booting. Is that the issue you're describing?

Do you have A9LH installed, or do you have B9S installed? If you're not sure, here's what you should try:
  1. Download Luma3DS 8.1.1 and put the boot.firm file onto the SD card root.
  2. If that doesn't work, download Luma3DS 7.1 and put the boot.firm file onto the SD card root.
  3. If that doesn't work, download Luma3DS 7.0.5 and put the arm9loaderhax.bin file onto the SD card root.

i downloaded the luma 8.1 and now its fixed just gotta set up luma and im free to go
You should use GodMode9 (or FBI) to copy the Luma3DS boot.firm from your SD card to your CTRNAND. Doing so will allow your 3DS to boot even without the proper files on your SD card.
