Hey there. I don't really know if this belongs here or to DS section. Anyway. My problem is, that when I play New Super Mario Bros with my friend (both of us having flashcart), the game extremely lags (like running good for 3sec and then 5-1FPS, but music is OK) the signal status bar shows low signal, but we are like 10cm within each other. When we were playing with an original card (we had only 1 so via download play) it was working totally normally (no lag at all). What might be wrong? Any suggestions please and thanks :D

More info:
His card: 2017 R4ISDHC Gold Pro
Mine card: R4i GOLD 3DS RTS
His 3DS: O3DS
Mine 3DS: N3DSXL

Edit: If anyone can change title of this thread please rename it to this: Mario Bros lag (flashcart)

How does mario kart ds run?

my nephew and I use our B9S luma N3DS's, mine with R4igoldRTS and his with the very original R4 from 2006 using a custom launcher. There was no problem with mario kart ds, we'll try new super mario bros when he next comes round

will try and would appreciate if you test mario bros.

That is the class speed of your microSD card?
Did you try backing it up and formatting it with
This: SDFormatter
With these settings?
FORMAT TYPE : FULL (OverWrite). FORMAT SIZE ADJUSTMENT : ON

The 3DS should not be causing lag with your DS games, even with the flashcart.

Its class 4
No, I haven't formatted it.
Don't know what causes it, but the signal bar was showing low signal (when lag occurred)

I always suggest formatting drives right out of the box. It doesn't always fix the problem, but it does help eliminate format issues right from the start.
Class 4 is fast enough for something like this. Does this issue happen with 3DS games?
