If you waited on the white screen for 1 minute, try formatting your SD card to FAT32 with 32kb cluster size.

The most I've waited is probably not one minute, I should do that. But my SD card is formatted like that.

I'm not sure if this is already answered, but to update bootstrap, go to page 4 of settings, and press X to update official bootstrap, then press Y to update unofficial bootstrap.

Did it, and worked! In the few moments I have playing HeartGold, it has had a bit of sound lag, but nothing aside of that (and the expected)! Many thanks Rob!
