PS1/2 PS2 discs don't spin

Hello, I have PS2 Slim SCPH-90004. Someday discs stopped to spin. It never felt to ground it was working till someday. Laser orange tape was broken. I ordered the new one, but discs should spin, yeah?

Thats isn't tape lol and i recommend loading games from SMB on a slim.

You didn't understand me. I know that isn't tape. It just stopped reading discs it made noise, I suspected tape was broken. Some time later it stopped spinning discs, that's why I created the post lol

Replace the laser.

There is always the SMB loading method.

You can rip them and load them that way

If the ribbon cable that attaches to the laser is broken it will not spin up any discs. It's fairly easy to replace.
