The Official Splatoon 2 Prima Guide says so, but I found nothing online to verify this. I'm thinking this is a typo, but I thought this would be good discussion since S- never existed in the first Splatoon.

From what I understand, No, there is no S- in Splatoon 2. Everybody that ranks up from A+ becomes S. Ranking down from S takes you back to A+.
