Hacking 3DS 11.5 system update incoming

Hi. Is it safe to update to 11.5? I haven't really read much of the thread but I just want to be sure. I have boot9strap and all that kind of stuff. I also have a custom theme with the free shop as my two only cias. Will updating ban me or any of my applications or is it safe, meaning that nothing will get banned and it's perfectly fine. Thanks!

If I update my homebrew to the latest otherapp.bin before I update to 11.5, will homebrew still work? Of course, I won't go into the new 11.5 homebrew until I've updated but I just wanna know if it works.

if its for 11.5 then hb should work on 11.5

Ok. Thanks so much for help and info! Quick question: Before I update, should I backup SysNAND? Also, I have no access to hardmod if I brick... Help and thoughts appreciated

It isn't REQUIRED, but it's always good to have a backup handy. The decision is up to you.

Use freeShop to download and install games. To install via QR code, go into FBI, choose Network Install, then QR Code Install. https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-arc13s-freeshop-fork-open-source-eshop-alternative.468436/

You will also have to add the enctitlekeys URL to the Update tab in the settings. You can do this via QR code and get that QR code from the 3DS titlekeys site (Google this).

Is updating otherapp.bin only required on certain CFW installations or am I missing something?

Otherapp.bin is only needed for OFW. You have CFW.

Luma 8.x's Rosalina doesn't use otherapp.bin as it doesn't use *hax but instead launches homebrew directly.

Hi guys. I have B9S with Luma 7.x installed. After I backup SysNAND, I was going to update to FW 11.5. Does BootNTR work with FW 11.5? Thoughts and help appreciated [emoji4]

Just use a PC to transfer all content from current SD card to a bigger new one.

Try visiting eShop page for that game. It should be enough to get the ticket for it. You don’t need to actually buy the game; just visit its page.

Updated one of my 3DSes to 11.5 from 11.4. Now my Sky3DS+ is running into issues on that console. I CAN'T confirm if it's the update or not that is causing it. It only started happening after I updated.
