Hello. First of all I if I haven't created this topic in the right place I'm sorry beforehand and would love if someone indicated me where should it be/moved it.
Getting that out of the way I would like to explain my situation.

Some months ago I was looking for a cheap handheld console that could bring tons of fun with new games.
I had had a gameboy advance, sp, and a nintendo ds and ds lite for which I bought an R4 and had a lot of fun with a lot of games.

I found in a local second-hand shop here a "new pirated 2ds". I didn't really care about the 3D effect so I wen't for it. So I have no idea about a lot of things, i've been reading about sysnand, emunand, arm9loaderhax, luma and all kinds of shit but i'm a bit lost still. Basically I don't know the configuration of my console and would love to find out because my main objective is bringing the whole GBA catalog into my 2ds and be able to play all the games (i'm also interested in being able to play some GBC titles if it were possible and some NDS titles too), as for the moment I have only been able to play 3ds games on it.

Basically if I understood correctly, the console is new, so the firmware version is pretty new, but it's hacked with arm9loaderhax, unfortunately I can't contact this person at the moment to ask him anything else.

I don't seem to be able to switch between nands, or I haven't found the way. As far as I know i've only been using one "system", one nand. It has FBI app which I have installed almost all my games with and a "freeshop", where there's some games, but not all. Also the system resets whenever I exit system settings. Version is supposed to be: 11.2.0-35E. Also I seem to be able to access a weird menu by powering up the console while holding start.

All I ask is for someone to maybe give me a couple hints towards what kind of configuration I really have and some insight into it, i'm kinda lost with so many documentation and so many ways of breaking this console, I'm scared to brick it. All I would love to do is turn this into a GBA-DS games console, easy to download and install into it if possible, as I really love the 2ds shape and screen. I don't care much about being able to run 3ds games as I didn't really enjoy the catalog, not my kind of games.

Thanks for the lightning speed answers :)

What's exactly boot9strap? What kind of games can I play with it?

Is Luma, a type of emunand?
What is exactly arm9loaderhax?
Luma is a custom firmware allowing you to run unsigned (or illegal games if you will) applications on your 3DS without restrictions, including emulating a region and other goodies, it is the best custom firmware for the 3DS to date and the most up to date as well.
Boot9Strap is a boot9/boot11 code execution. To put it simple, it modifies your 3DS's bootrom to the point where you can run anything not made by Nintendo.
Arm9loaderhax is already outdated so no point talking about it.

Boot9strap is better than A9LH, because it's a bootrom (I think). I suppose at the moment it doesn't allow you to play any 'extra games' that A9LH can't, but it has things like inputredirection, where you can use an external PC controller to play the 3DS/2DS etc.

Luma is a custom firmware, you can run emunand or sysnand. Most people think emunand is pretty much pointless at this stage. I think sysnand should be used for everything.

A9LH is just a file which errr......all I know is it allows us to boot a custom firmware, I think...

LUMA will only be supported by B9S from now on, I recommend that B9S is installed if you wish to update your Luma in the future.

if you dont update to b9s you can still use newer versions of other cfws that dont support b9s but you should still update to b9s
