I've got 5 main PCs in the house that get used, my gaming desktop, work desktop, Surface Book, Surface Pro 1, and my work laptop, but my work laptop is the lowest spec of them all so I won't bother listing the others.
My work laptop:
Acer Extensa 5230e
Intel C2D T7700
3GB of DDR2
and a 500GB HDD.
It's running Linux Mint, Windows 10, Windows XP, and Arch Linux right now. It originally had a Celeron 900, but it was a single core piece of garbage and, luckily, swappable, so I was able to put a C2D T7700 in it which gave it a nice boost in performance. Went from 2.20GHz single core to 2.4GHz dual core, twice the performance with 0 change in temperature or power consumption. Works perfect for the basic stuff I need to do for work, normally on my work desktop I have like 8 tabs open to monitor 8 different sites, but on this I only monitor the 2 most important when I'm not in my office for whatever reason. I mainly use Linux Mint for work, XP is there for classic games that don't like 10, 10 is there for new stuff that doesn't like XP, and Arch Linux is there to fuck around in, but it hasn't been booted in ages.
I actually have another Extensa 5230e that has the original Celeron 900 in it, but only 2GB of RAM and no HDD. Doesn't get used at all, but I keep it around in case something goes wrong with the main one so I can just quickly swap parts and get back to using it.
