Well i already know that it's a period of the year where devs lie about their projects and shows how "polished and working games would be but you're still not getting this version you idiots", but why did i read day two when the showcase is done ?
AH thank you bruhBecause there's like a whole floor where you can just see some of the games being played and play some of the games as well. Other events besides the showcase happen.
At least that's my understanding of it
Dude, being honest pays off too, no need to lie just to promote, as a meh gamer, i'd buy a truthful shit product over a fucking huge lie, even if the difference is really subtle. Some of them lie. Others just get overenthusiastic. If you've spent 3-4 years of your live devoted to something, you want to show it off as best you can, no? I have some empathy for them, 'cos I'd like to spend my life making games, too.
No, but that's the thing. They don't want to lie, that's not their intent, but they might over-hype things. In some cases, a game may still be a ways from being finished, and so they'll go on and on about these cool features they're including, but then later on in development, they'll find that they're running short on time/money, so they cut some of the features they promise, or they have to nerf others. It's an unfortunate reality of game development.Dude, being honest pays off too, no need to lie just to promote, as a meh gamer, i'd buy a truthful shit product over a fucking huge lie, even if the difference is really subtle.
so far there was no E3 except 2006 that caught my attention. It's the most important time of the year when games get announced. I know a lot of people bash E3 like it doesn't matter and it's shit and yada yada but when they see the games are announced they eat their own words.
Fixed that for you. @HaloEliteLegend already explained much better why it's not as black and white. Yes, the final product rarely matches the projected dreams and anticipations told on commercials (and face it: E3 is one large commercial). No, that doesn't mean it's all lies.Well i alreadyknowthink that it's a period of the year where devs lie about their projects
