Hacking Game 3D Effect Question (Gateway vs CIA)?

I know that the 3D effect doesn't work with Gateway format games, but what about .cia format games? Does 3D work with .cia format games? Thoughts appreciated

.....since when 3D effect doesn't work on GW? I'm dead serious I have gateway for couple of years and never saw a game that doesn't work with 3D and it originally intended to work with it

I am not sure. I just have read earlier that it doesn't, unless they fixed it?

At least on o3ds, it works.

I never read such a thing. I read (like 2 years ago, when it was a common problem) that the 3D effect might be broken on all games (cia and 3ds)... but even then, a quick fix was to close the lid once. Now this problem is fixed everywhere and I really never heard of 3D not working on games not in cia format.

I just played using gateway on n3ds, and unless my eyes tricking me, I could swear that the 3D works
and ever since I'm using b9s to boot gateway, the lid trick is no longer needed

It was never broken. On N3DSXL you had to close and open the system to fix eye tracking.
