New release inculdes scripts for JPN and EUR regions too! Thanks @Filo97 for letting me know!

Changes!

- Some songs have experimental Expert modes! A few of these crash the game, and none are complete, but likely will be in the future.
- Matryoshka uses Lon and Soraru's cover of the song
- 1 2 Fanclub also uses Lon and Soraru's cover
- Opening music and video have been replaced
- New loading screen textures
- 1/6 -out of the gravity- has been replaced with Two-Faced Lovers (100% full credit to Stewie1.0, borrowed from their Mix Edition hack)
- Len and Gumi recolors that match Lon and Soraru's characters in the Matryoshka PV (seen in the intro)
- My own custom Playstation button icons replace the default A/B/X/Y icons in-game!
- Restored animated PVs from Mirai 2 for songs that used them
- Many more additions that I can't think of off the top of my head!

Known bugs/issues

- Playing Two-Faced Lovers may or may not crash the game, although it works fine for me
- No Logic is completely broken (sometimes it crashes, sometimes nightmare fuel)

Installation!
I've made it super easy to install and uninstall the romhack freely using GodMode9's experimental script support.
[You can get the supported GodMode9 build here.]

This build is an open beta, however I've thoroughly tested my scripts and they cause zero issues and pose no risk to your system. If you don't trust me, you can view the script files in any text editor.
Luma CFW is required for this method, as is the GodMode9 beta build!

1. Download the romhack by clicking the banner at the top of this post
2. Unzip all the contents to the roof of your SD card.
3. Launch GodMode9 and navigate to the Scripts folder on the SD card
4. run "install_mirai_hax.gm9" and wait for it to finish
5. Done! Enjoy!

To uninstall, simply run the uninstall script.

If you want to install this hack without the experimental build, use the following steps:

1. Download the romhack by clicking the banner at the top of this post
2. On your SD card, navigate to /luma/titles
3. Make a folder titled "0004000000148C00"
4. Inside that, make a folder titled "romfs"
5. Open the romhack zip file, and copy all the contents of "MiraiHax" to the new
/luma/titles/000400000014xx00/romfs folder. (Replace the xx with the title ID for your region
6. Done! Enjoy!

Keep in mind, this method does not allow for the easy install/uninstall unless you download the GodMode9 beta and add my scripts.

If you don't like/want the Playstation button icons,
here's how you remove them

1. Browse to the romhack's folder (/luma/titles/0004000000148C00/romfs)
2. Browse to the aet_en folder
3. Delete spr_ae_buttin.bin
4. Play!

Video Demonstration!

also, you didn't consider something. I dunno if it's my 3ds being weird or whatnot. But my TitleID for mirai DX on EUR is not 148c. it is 1489.
Ah, I forgot to account for multiple regions :P Thanks for letting me know, I'll fix that in about an hour when I have time!
Is there a tutorial somewhere on how those scripts work?
Like how to write them or how to use them?

Where's the GodMode9 beta

Love it, but for some reason I can't change the singer of 1925 anymore.

EDIT: Upon further review there are a few things that are strange and I will document them here. :3

- Luka and Gumi's version of Arifureta sekai seifuku instead plays tricolore airline
- for some reason the Meiko version of interviewer has audio of Miku's cover, I assume it was meant to be by Miku
- you can't customize any characters other than miku in tricolore airline.
- only Meiko can be selected to sing Piano forte scandal. the other singer's names appear but cannot be selected
- Yume Yume has meiko and Miku as possible singers but Meiko's plays Miku's version and Miku's plays Kaito's cover of Terekakushi shishunki
- World is mine is messed up in multiple ways with all of the singers that aren't miku

I was messing around 1925 quite a bit during testing, since it's the only track I can use to actually start making true custom songs due to how it works. I believe the background video is also disabled (just a black screen atm). I'll fix it in a future update!

Taht's awesome! I'm going to try this out in the coming days. I do have to ask, how'd you manage to make your own songs? I remember I tried and tried and never could figure out how the mappings of each track was. I just gave up after fiddling with it for a long time.

Thanks! The custom songs thing takes a bit of work for sure, but you have to use the original version of the DSC editor (the scary looking one, not the drag and drop one). I have a small guide on how to use it on the Mirai DX Hacking Thread somewhere, I'll find it and link it, one sec

Edit: post is on this page: https://gbatemp.net/threads/hatsune-miku-project-mirai-dx-hacking-thread.465799/page-5

Takes a lot of trial and error, but it's possible!

Also, I think that two-faced lovers on super hard is impossible, I used the role model item and it still missed a note. :P

This project now has a GitHub page! There's nothing up yet, but there will be in a few minutes.

https://github.com/dj505/PMDX-Matryoshka-Edition

My main reason for making this page is to essentially make it possible for anyone to make a pull request for their own mods and stuff to add to the main romhack. As of now, this is a community-based project, not just a romhack made by me in my spare time!

Edit: Repository is now up and running! Have fun everyone!

Sorry for the (possibly) necropost, but I want to know what the files in aet_en do. I'm trying to fix the double model problem (the close & far singer models).

The aet_en folder (iirc) houses the textures - I completely missed your post on the actual hacking thread haha, my bad. The textures are all in .bin format, but they're actually just a bunch of .ctpk files crammed together. You'll need a hex editor to get at them.
