I updated to the new boot9strap then used luma updater to install Luma 8.0,now my O3DS won't turn on!Blue light comes on then off right away. Please help.
You're missing "boot.firm", or if you have it, it's not a valid one.

Try downloading Luma3DS via github, overwriting the boot.firm with the one in the .zip files, and powering it on again.

No, it's because you haven't updated boot9strap to 1.2.

Sent that early, I was gonna add:

"At least, it doesn't seem that way, as I don't know why else it wouldn't work. My installation works perfectly fine."

I'm new to the whole modded thing. How do I get the 7.1 reinstalled or the boot.firm reinstalled correctly? Is there a specific program that I need to use? I have a boot.firm on my sd card root.

Scroll down to the v7.1 .zip and download it, delete your current "boot.firm" file, and place the one from the .zip file onto the root of your SD card.

Thanks so much. Man I just had a mini heart attack. Back up and going. How did you get the new version to work?
