I'm attempting to edit some aspects of a game's code.bin file, but when I load it up I get stuck on the "Nintendo 3DS" loading screen for an indefinite amount of time until I turn off the console. Is there a specific way I have to edit the file? All I'm doing is changing some of the plain text (for dialogs and stuff), that's it.

Actually the code.bin file is the compressed / compiled source code of the app. I think no app has the abilities to decompress it, but you could edit some "words" or texts you find inside the file.
For example, once I decompressed the YouTube app, and looked inside the code.bin. It had an entire JavaScript source code file (as a variable I guess) inside the file, and I just keep searching there.
Obviously, modifying that file manually can be quite dangerous.
