Hacking Which IOS needed to play backup DVDs

I have followed the guide here in the Tutorial section to softmod my Red WII but my backup DVDs are not being seen.

I used the CIOS 236 installer to install using the auto-update to grab the latest version:
IOS36 revision 3351
IOS56 v5661
IOS38 v4123

Installed the D2X CIOS installer:
v10 beta53
v10 beta52

I have both the latest Wiiflow and USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder installed as a channel. Games do load off my USB drive when I use Wiiflow and USB Loader GX, but when I insert a a backup DVD it does not read it as it gives me a disc failure error. I tried this from the disc channel in the main system menu and also from both Wiiflow and USB Loader GX. The Wii will read my original DVD from the disc channel in the main menu. I'm not sure if my DVD drive is going bad and won't read backups or I'm missing some IOS that needed to run backup DVDs. These same DVDs play fine in my other WII that has a WiiKey installed. Non-retail discs will only work on early production run Wiis. Later ones block burned discs.

I had some burned backup DVDs for my white WII that has the WIIkey and when I tried them in my Red Wii it didn't work so I thought my laser my be going bad but that was not the case. I like loading them off the USB drive anyways.

Any color Wii like New White (2011 Wii), Black, Cyan, and Red you got, it won't work and it won't read backup disc because of the new disc drive with chip inside (d3-2 and 4). The only thing it works is the Uloader, because it is the only USB backup loader that can read backup DVD from external USB DVD instead of using the internal disc drive. Before using the Uloader, you have to install Hermes CIOS 222-223, 224.

Thanks for info. I followed the tutorials here and able to load iso from usb drive with loader GX but not wiiflow.
