Well... I've only installed b9s to my A9LH N3DS XL and it was a complete success

Just modded a virgin 11.2.0.35 O3DS XL with the guide. A few things I noticed that deviated from the old guide. He doesn't talk about backing up NAND until after doing a system update to 11.4....well I did a nand backup as soon as I got Godmode running. Also there is a line where he says "

1. Navigate to [0:] SDCARD -> luma -> payloads
2. Press (X) on SafeB9SInstaller.bin to delete it
3. Press (A) to confirm.

Well, it must be for a different type of install because the guide I was following never told me to copy it there.

Also what is the purpose of the DSP dump?

Overall I was impressed that I did not have to downgrade and use a browser to hack it. So sucess..just waiting on some .firm programs. Would love Hourglass9 as a .firm Use that program all the time.

That NAND backup part annoys me too, it would make way more sense to create one before updating or even installing B9S if that is possible.

If you follow plailect's guide, it is pretty much brickproof. (aside from user error on 2.1 if you're installing from a stock 3ds.) Switching to b9s with a 3ds that already has a9lh is not only easy and safe, but a very quick job.

Just updated both my Old 3DS XL and New 3DS XL, both had a9lh.
Used 3ds.guide, only took a few mins, all went smoothly.

It seems that SigHax Installer 0.2 has decreased the number of bricks, however, the brick rate is still 55%, for now, do not use SigHax.com or SigHax Installer 0.1 or 0.2.

Delete lumaupdater.cfg from the root of your SD card, then try again.

Some homebrews like CHMM2 and freeShop need this DSP dump to properly play some music files.
EDIT: Updated 4 N3DS and 4 O3DS from AL9H v1/v2 with boot9strap successfully.
